Plastic Butter containers

Nice restaurant mediocre food. Great atmosphere. Fine dining should never have a dish of Plastic butter cups on the table .Why act like MacDonalds I was scared to order coffee at the end .Thought I might see Plastic Creamers as well . Could not bare the thought

Was there with a business group. Smoked salmon appetizer was good but bathed in oil. Main course of mushroom pasta was cold dry egg noodles, some oil at the bottom of the dish and about 1 mushroom chopped on top - mostly unable to eat, dessert was tiramasu - watery - obviously sitting for a long period of time -... This is THE best Italian restaurant in Montreal Many are great but this on is best. What sets it apart ? The food, the food and ... The food You will find there all the typical Italian dishes (which go far beyond pasta and pizza) My personal favorite is the suckling pig it is a very generous portion of sucking... More

Movie stars are the only thing exciting about this place and we didn't even see any. The food is basic and overpriced. Will not go again.

I went to Da Emma when family came over to visit. I thought we were up to yet another basic Italian restaurant, with staff that don't know half the menu, kitsch Italian decor and dishes as basic as Emma Stone. To my surprise, the decor wasn't kitsch at all, being situated in an old women's prison, the stone walls and... More

Da Emma is a must go to if you are in Montreal and like Italian food. The setting is charming, the menu is extensive and the food is delicious! I have the roasted piglet and it was divine - though enough to feed a family of five! The menu is on a chalk board, in Italian. Having lived in Italy... More

Had a business function at this restaurant. Service was spectacular, I ordered the ravioli which was too rich and meaty for me. Others did like it in the group. Overall I would recommend this restaurant, It is in a great area of old Montreal.

I don't like writing bad reviews. Let's just put it this way: my lasagna LITERALLY tasted like chef boyardee...very sad considering the resto is down the street. Overpriced. Under spiced and wry bug lack of the "wow" factor

Didn't think we'd get into this restaurant as it was a sat night but managed a last minute reservation for 930. Place was packed and atmosphere was great.Staff were friendly and accommodating, service quick and professional. Plenty of Italian favourites but menu is printed on a chalk board and so brush up on your french and bring your glasses (no... More
