This restaurant is more than 1 dollar sign! Meals were $20 and that is without rice. There was no coconut rice option which was sad. The food in general was delicious! Had the green curry and enjoyed it immensely. Service was slow but they were nice.

Great food, good ambience. Very accommodating staff. We enjoyed the the salad and curry noodles and the tea. Totally recommend to anyone going to Montreal.

Been to Chao Phraya a few times. They attempt to make it look like semi-fine cuisine with it being on Laurier & St-Laurent, and have a casually nice décor...but seriously, with a menu that big, which even has number codes next to each item, it isn't cuisine in the slightest. It's just good quality slow fast food. Slow because it... More

We had a great evening at Chao Phraya. The atmosphere was good, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious! The owner was also gracious and came by to our table to ask how the food was. We ordered chicken satay, stir fried broccoli, Panang beef, Grilled calamari and mee crob. Everything was good but I wished they had... More

We have frequented chao pray for years. A few weeks ago our order was mixed up but we brushed it of as a bad day. Last night, it took over fifteen minutes and us telling to 2 people we were ready to order for one waiter to come over, he spoke perfect English and there was no confusion. 10 minutes... More

This was my second time at Chao Phraya. The first was 2 years ago. The food was as good as I remembered and the service and ambience were also great. Most memorable item we ordered on the menu: Lobster mango salad. Tofu in peanut sauce with crispy spinace is also very good - a bit on the sweeter side!

Very busy place. It would be great if they had round tables that could accommodate parties of 8 or 10. Only one table for 6. The food and the wines are on the expensive side. The sathays, spring rolls and chicken green curry were average. Very good beef salad and frog legs. Good sticky rice and mango as well as... More

It wasn't our first time at Chao Phraya - we reserved a table of 8 for Saturday night, and were eager to bring some friends along given that we were craving good Thai food (especially the excellent peanut sauce they serve). Our reservation was at 9.30 and even though we got there on time, we weren't seated before 10.05! All... More

I went there for dinner with family members and was really surprised by the cleanliness and service. Food was very tasty with generous portions. I recommend number 59 on the menu!
