Average food - you can find better

Tried this restaurant on Friday night - it is very busy and I suggest if you go to make a reservation. We were a group of 9 and we were installed on the second floor which is a bit less crowed and hot than the first floor. The food was average and you would expect the food to be more... read more

Very loud and crowded (very popular!), but the quality of the food was very mediocre and the service was poor (likely because of the crowds). Restaurant cuts corners on quality of the food - inadequate sweet pepper and other vegetables and almost no cilantro with the fajitas - mainly onions. Salsa was very bland and guacamole mediocre. Washrooms located in... More

Very popular. Go for the Jalapeno maragarita. Steak seems a hit. There is a variety of reasonably priced entrees- the whole enchilada -burritos/tacos/chimchanga/salads. Chips and Salsa was some of the best I have had,

3 Amigos has been a personal favourite for the past fifteen years or so. I recently went with a couple of girlfriends and once again it did not disappoint. They have some of the best (virgin) drinks in the city. Their daqueries and piña coladas are amazing! I had the soft shell shrimp tacos and they were incredible! I highly... More

The place has a good atmosphere a day is quite large. The service was good and the food was delivered in a timely manner. The food was nothing special and we were all disappointed with our dishes. The restaurant was too loud and won't be going back again. There are other options...

Crowded and fun! Formula 1 weekend dinner with a friend. Food was good, prepared quickly. We had the Mexican flag plate and the shrimp lime and chili tacos. Good price for the portions. Dessert, fried ice cream. Yum! Mariachi band playing...guitarist stopped by our table. ended in a sour note, the bathroom were filthy!

When you arrive, you know right away that you will have a different dining experience. The decor makes you feel like you are at a Mexican Festa. They give you chips and salsa to munch on as you wait, it is traditional salsa sauce, so the kids might not like it but I thought it was great. The menu is full... More

Bigger then it looks from the outside. Very reasonable prices. Food was excellent, and the service was great. Brought the whole family, they have a kids meal that my picky son loved.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
