Decent, fun location

We ate here twice during our stay in Montreal. They have nice outdoor seating on a happening street. The food is decent. If you are coming from the USA and use to really amazing Mexican food you might be disappointed. But this is Montreal, and so comparing it to that is unfair. They serve fun... read more

My daughter and I dined here for dinner. We really enjoyed our meals here. Service was friendly and attentive and the free chips and salsa was delicious. Our pina coladas were very tasty. We both had the veggie burrito. It was served hot and fresh and was very good.

We had a lovely meal here on the patio. We ordered a variety of tacos and burritos and everyone loved their meals. The portions were large enough that even though we were starving, we couldn't quite finish everything. My kids (6 & 9) loved it.

Went to 3 Amigos Gatineau tonight. Services was rapid but not sure if this restaurant will survive in Gatineau. The good was okay... Nothing exciting. If you want good Tex-Mex make the trip to The Lone Star Cafe in Ottawa... Food is way better!!!

I can say the best of this place was our waiter Sebastian, he is so kind and nice, the best of our night. We love Mexican food and we read some reviews and decided to go there, but it was disappointing. For a bill of $100 CAD you expect to have excellent food. We ordered fajitas, tasteless. The presentation was... More

We ate at 3 amigos a week ago and were not disappointed. The restaurant was very busy but service was quite fast. Our waiter was helpful and the food was american mexican, which is what we were looking for. So I'd recommend for anyone looking for some back home Mex.

The food is not bad, but the service is really really poor. The atmosphere was great. I was there during a lunch and it was not so full

We had about an hour and a half to 'kill' before our 3 p.m. bus to Ottawa (think we were at a second 3 Amigos location, near Berri.) and were hungry for lunch. 3 Amigos smelled good / looked friendly. Our server, Amelie, was prompt, friendly, and professional. The entrees include salsa & chips, a small cup of (in this... More

Food was tasteless, we are serious Mexican food eaters and we also know how to prepare several dishes. We were used to the taste of Charlotte's (NC, USA) Mexican restaurants so we have been trying to find something similar or better in Montréal. The service was slow (but our waiter was great) we waited about 40 minutes for our food.... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
