Average food - you can find better

Tried this restaurant on Friday night - it is very busy and I suggest if you go to make a reservation. We were a group of 9 and we were installed on the second floor which is a bit less crowed and hot than the first floor. The food was average and you would expect the food to be more... read more

When you arrive, you know right away that you will have a different dining experience. The decor makes you feel like you are at a Mexican Festa. They give you chips and salsa to munch on as you wait, it is traditional salsa sauce, so the kids might not like it but I thought it was great. The menu is full... More

Bigger then it looks from the outside. Very reasonable prices. Food was excellent, and the service was great. Brought the whole family, they have a kids meal that my picky son loved.

Thankfully we had reservation and didn't have to wait. Noticed some people waiting a long time for a table. Very busy and crowded. Don't try and have conversations. The menu had a lot on it and the servings are huge. Drinks were cold and served fast. The food however we found both our chicken and steak over cooked. Didn't eat... More

Lunch time is a busy time there but the atmosphere is relaxed. Waiting staff are efficient and the food was fresh, delicious and lots of it. Enchiladas and margaritas in a fun atmosphere. Just like being in Mexico on a cold Montreal winter day.

No, it's not food like you'll get off the beaten path in Mexico, but it's at least as good or better than much of what passes for Mexican food in the US (except of course, areas like the SW or California where there are lots of Mexican descendants). What we liked: the atmosphere was lively and fun. The decor is... More

Not being a fan of Mexican food to start with, this place gets 3 stars. Great service to our table of 9 people, the waiter Pascal did not miss anything. Our drinks were always replenished quickly and the food all served together. We all had different items, including a cheeseburger and pasta for the youngest diners. The best choice looked... More

If you step into the restaurant, all you see is the giant margarita glasses. They are amazing. Food is pretty good. I prefer this location over the one on St. Dennis since they refill the nachos when you finish them. The best days to go are when they have the specials (fajitas, taco, etc). The food portions are good, if... More

I wasn't expecting anything fantastic - I'm from the southwest, and can get great Mexican food just about anywhere. This was a test of the emergency Mexican food system. It worked. This isn't the best, but it certainly isn't the worst I've had. The margaritas passed, but weren't special. The benefit of this place is the atmosphere. It is just... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
