Good coffee, good sandwich

This's a small cafe, its food is very special, good taste. Their coffee latte is very good. My English is poor, and I don't know how express my experience. But it's a good restaurant for breakfast and lunch.

Very friendly atmosphere and good service. Made to order light fare. Perfect laté and the chocolate croissant was amazing. Cool vibe. Very small space and note the menu reviews that food served during the week is a little different then the weekends.

Server would not give us the time of day. Realized we were non francophone and then served francophone persons before us. Probably a good eat If you are French. Visitors, do not waste your time.

Stayed at The Westin hotel which is a 2 minute walk from here. At the hotel they are charging $20 plus tax for a simple, very small plate of generic breakfast food. We walked 1 block to The Mon Cafe and had a great homemade breakfast with a fantastic cappuccino to boot, and 2 take out desserts for $40 tax... More

Great meal, fresh menu and amazing coffe. My favorite was the staff, service from LOUIS was delightful. Loves his job and is great with his career in the hospitality industry. A great way to start the day. Yummy food and positive energy.

We ordered bacon egg and cheese bagels. The cheese wasn't melted and there was lettuce tomato and mayo on the sandwich...... Coffee just average. Needs better ventilation....I smelled like the place after I left. Espace down the street much better.

Espresso works, free wifi, small quaint spot with friendly staff. If you're in the neighbourhood, it's a good place to duck into for some unpretentious beverage drinking. I gotta say though, I'm not a fan of their sandwich boards aimed at pun lovers. Oh well, can't be good at everything, it's business after all.

Picked this place based on reviews here and Yelp as we wanted something good and simple for breakfast. Streets and neighbourhood were dead quiet on a Sunday morning, however the place was constantly busy so I can't imagine what it's like on a weekday with the surrounding offices open. Small place only about room for 15 or so people to... More

Nice place. Small so service takes time. But worth the wait. Breakfast sandwiches are wonderful. Great americano. Went twice during stay.

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighborhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic center of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its center, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theater.
