Good place

We were 7 for the evening of the 31st december 2014. 4 adults and 3 childs. It was entirely full by 19h30. The place is quite small and so are the places to eat. More than 40 inch of belly could be annoying. Food is nice and represent well Indian food. A bit warmer would had been... read more

We were 5 for the evening of the 16th May 2015 with 3 adults and 2 kids. The place is quite small and not many customers were there when we were there. We have ordered the food and had to wait for a long time to have it brought to our table. The butter chicken we ordered was taste less... More

My partner and I came upon this restaurant quite by accident after leaving the nearby history museum. What a happy discovery. The service was great and the food excellent. I've eaten at uncountable Indian restaurants over the decades and this one is easily in my top five.

I was in town visiting friends and I was taken here for a late lunch. The service was quite good and the Indian food was delicious. My friend ordered the food so I have no idea what the dishes were called but none of them disappointed. I will definitely return should I be in the area again.

We went to Mirchi on 25th December when nearly all places were closed. Mirchi was one of the few restaurants that were working on the day. The food was good, but I had eaten more delicious Indian food before. The naans were our favorite here and quite big in size. The place was a nice blend of authentic Indian ornaments... More

I went to Mirchi to meet 6 friends and enjoy food and drink together. I arrived about 18h00 and or had couple of Taj beer before ordering. The atmosphere it totally relaxed and when you want to order, you go find your waiter and he comes over to take orders and accurately answer all your questions about what is good,... More

We wanted to eat something Indian and found this place when we were walking around Old Montreal. When we entered, there was no one in the restaurant and that alarmed, should we even go in, but being hungry we did. We were seated by not so friendly waiter who was more interested in whatever he was doing behind the counter,... More

We went to this restaurant in hopes of getting nice, authentic indian food. The food they serve is nowhere near authentic indian food. They used mackerel for fish tikka, that too with bones. None of the curry dishes had any taste. Garlic naan were thick and rubbery with tinge of raw garlic. Biryani was worse than even tadaka rice that... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
