The place is a happening place. The food had a spin on the usual items. The salads were very good as a main course. The place is busy and recommend to make reservations. Good for the younger generation

This restaurant served beautiful food at a reasonable price. I got a salad (general Tao-or was it Mao?) which had nicely prepared chicken and tasty veggies. My family (2 adults, 2 older kids) had beautifully prepared plates. My veggie-phobic daughter got the same salad I got and actually ate the vegetables. I am forever grateful. We sat on the patio,... Waitress aggressively harangued us to order the special drinks and entrees. I have never felt so pressured in a restaurant! We finally convinced her that we just wanted vodka on the rocks for cocktails. The seating is really cramped, restaurant is overly warm and plays (bad) music so loud that you have to scream to be heard. But the worst... More

As we had responded on Yelp: Sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your recent visit Dreaming. It is in fact the law in Quebec that all alcohol must be consumed with a full meal in a restaurant setting. However, we do have a bar on the main floor where hanging out with a vodka on the rocks is... More

This place was a blast. An incredibly varied menu from very fresh veggies and huge summery salads, to twisted classics, to mains good enough for fine dining. Huge portions. My only complaint was the over-zealous (but admittedly friendly and helpful) sales people...I mean wait staff. We will most definitely go back. Also, what a bonus to be able to sit... More

Went for dinner with friends. Restaurant A/C is horrible, they could not cool the place down, so make sure you go in cooler weather. Food was good, the salmon was a little dry, shepherds pie was good, paella is spicy. Not sure I would run back given the number of restaurants in Montreal!

It sure was hot Italian4560- we weren't quite prepared for the massive heat wave that hit us. Though most Montrealers would agree we prefer the heat to our cold Canadian winters! Glad you enjoyed your meal. Our menu gets a facelift every season, so do check back! More

I first went to this restaurant a year ago. The food was great and there was some nice gluten free options. I went back last week and I was a bit disappointed with GF options that somewhat shrunk. I did have a waiter that was sharp enough to notice that what I had chosen finally did contain gluten and have... More

Found great recommendations on yelp and loved it. Great american upbeat music with an updated diner menu. Nice staff. Had nice lunch deals. Goregous pink white and black decor. Great location off st. Catherine. I had a great spicy chicken BBQ sandwich. The burgers looked fantastic.

First time, and not the last time. Nice downtown Burger Place, nice terrace outside. My wife and I went just before a concert, and pleased with food, quantity, little pricy $$, but worth the visit so much.

Stopped in for cocktails. Friendly staff, good drinks. Nothing cheap in Montreal, but a good value. We had some appetizers, they are fresh and delicious. I would recommend this restaurant!

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
