Great Mexican food!

I went for brunch with my friend, who was highly enthused. I did not regret it. The food was good, and our hot chocolates even better. Very authentic with very good service. I would go again.

My favourite Mexican restaurant in Montreal. Delicious food, friendly service, great ambiance. I stared to enjoy mole after I had it here. Fajitas cooked to perfection. Tortilla soup highly recommended. Don't leave before you try the desserts, order the impossiblé - moist chocolate cake topped with flan! Try the carrot cake too - trust me on this one!

We came here after a long drive from Toronto, it was close to where we stayed. We were sat for quite a while before anyone came to bring us a menu, or ask about drinks. The food was really tasty when it came, and the server was nice when he was serving.

This is a quaint little place with great food, even is not cooked on the restaurant (i was told is made by a mexican woman outside the place). The chips and guacamole are delicious. I highly recomend "sopa azteca". Perfect place in downtown Montreal.

My friend and I were visiting Montreal over the weekend and found this place by coincidence. The brunch was very tasty and the service was friendly and attentive. Enjoyed the experience very much.

Having lived in Mexico for many years, I become extremely critical when I try any Mexican restaurant. I must say Chipotle & Jalapeno definitely lived up to my expectations. I had the Puntas a la Mexicana and they tasted just like the ones in Mexico. My spouse had the Fajitas and said they were great too. We started with two... More

It was a very pleasant surprise. The staff was extremely pleasant. The food excellent. The terrace comfortable. The inside very well decorated. Great atmosphere. LOTS of people, very busy. On Amherts street part of the Montreal Gay Village but I must also ad that it has nothing to do with the Gay Village.

The owners or possibly management, were pleasant and helpful. The fajitas had a funny taste to them, I'm not sure what it was. And the chicken with the chocolate added, was so terrible I couldn't even have a second bite. I was very disappointed because I love Mexican. The location and the atmosphere was nice. I wasn't the only one... More

Great service, excellent food in a small but very friendly atmosphere. Please note the business hours: closing time at 9:00 p.m. even on week-ends!!

We went there to celebrate one of my friend's birthday. People working there are friendly, and I really liked the atmosphere. They also sell some Mexican products, which is great in fact because I bought some delicious Mexican chocolate! The food was average. I asked for mango avocado salad, and it was a very simple starter. Then frijoles, vegetarian ones.... More

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighborhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomized by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
