Fresh, yummy Mediterranean food

Met a friend for lunch. Inside is small, with a few tables. You order at the counter; the staff will bring it to your table. Nice selection of fresh salads, grilled chicken or beef, sandwiches. Opted for the "Omnivore Lunchbox Special", (chicken option) which came with grilled chicken (very moist... read more

This was my last stop before my drive back to the States. I didn't know what to expect going in but I was pleasantly surprised. If you are looking to try something different and healthier, I'd recommend Omnivore.

Stopped by off hand for lunch Saturday with my gf and 4 yo daughter. Excellent food, super nice staff. The spicy sandwich IS spicy, very good. The plates have very liberal portions, I will get that next time. Have small chairs for kids, if need be. Fair value, reasonably priced. Excellent meal, I could not recommend this place enough.

Omnivore Comptoir Grill is a Middle Eastern fresh salad and grilled meat restaurant on Boul St-Laurent Montreal. Traveling for work or pleasure is always hard on your body. You are thrown off from your fitness routine. This gluttony vacation was no exception. While we love trying new restaurants like Toque, Park and L’Express; sometimes I just really miss a healthy... Walking down Boulevard St Laurent, with its ethnic restaurants and shops, you have a huge palette of places to eat to choose from. When we passed Omnivore, I caught someone leaving and asked if the food was good. He was so enthusiastic that I was convinced this was the place for lunch. I was not disappointed. In an artsy atmosphere... More

Incredible flavours and quality. I appreciate the vegan options too! Service is fantastic, genuine people. The space itself is cozy with the traditional middle eastern style shinning through. When I am back in Montreal this is one of the first places I visit. Thank you for existing! ~

One of the best small restaurants in town, amazing food , amazing drinks. I love to order the inka(fish) it's melt in your mouth delicious YUM YUM YUM!! The regular salad on the side is also very good, best salad I've ever had. Pricing is also good. Only negative is service is okay. Sometimes rude. And it is a small... More

This restaurant has three principal menu options: Herbivore (no meat), Omnivore (some meat and salad), and Carnivore (more meat and humus. Choice of meat is ground beef or chicken. Each meal is prepared on the premises. There is no choice of salad. It's a good place for a food break when attending classes and dances at the Air de Tango... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
