Hotel concierge recommended this after we told her have Cora's at home and honestly not very impressed. She got excited while describing Universal so we figured would be a real find. Non-descript looking exterior with similar wait staff. They seemed indifferent and slow at first but got better as our brunch progressed. Servings are huge with taste/quality second to none.... Found this place due to its recommendations on Yelp. Very busy so a bit of a wait -- and loud inside -- but good service and excellent food. Very well located. Would return.

Disappointing food. Vegetables in omelette undercooked. Ham just tasted funny. Like it had been fried in old oil. Glad we weren't ill. Would not return. Waitress disappeared after we received our food. We sat for 15-20 minutes after we finished and had to go find someone to give us the bill.

We had 12 people and we did have reservations, short walk from our hotel and all of us had super breakfasts. Most of us had french toast with bananas or strawberries and coffee and several had the crepes with strawberries. Did I mention the real maple syrup? The omelettes were tasty and so was the eggs benedict. Our waitress was... More

5 of us came for lunch on a sunday. 2 had a salad, the rest of us had a crepe, pancakes...15 minutes after finishing the meal I had to rush to the toilets to throw up my salad with goat cheese lunch. I met there my daughter who had another salad ....and was sick herself... Whent to see the manager,... More

Just a short walk from our hotel, this restaurant was a fabulous find! The waiter was delightful and very helpful answering some of our questions. I had a vegetarian sandwich that was on the most delicious multi grain bread. My husband had a chicken sandwich with onion rings. The waiter also brought honey and told us that in Canada, people... Food was ok , but not great. My drawback was service, i think they were understaffed. Had to wait a lot for anything. I guess it was that day for restaurant. You have to try for yourself. Next day we went to Le Pois Penche. Somewhere close dinner prices , high end service

All we wanted was a quick bite to eat. We waited forever to get a menu and even longer to get her back to order. The food was fine it just took forever to get it.

Huge portions but also not cheap. The quality of the food is ok but not outstanding. We had a greedy waitress which complaint about the tip, this is a really delicate matter and I hate to be addressed like that, I don't have to give anything, if you are not happy with your pay talk to your employer, I gave... Ate breakfast here 3x during our stay. Potatoes are so good Rosemary roasted deliciousness. Bagel and cream cheese is Montreal-style and yummy. Fruit plate and cup options with yogurt, fantastic. My husband enjoyed French toast and fresh squeezed orange juice. My daughter Loved the decadent "Universal waffle" with chocolate, almonds, fruit, and chantilly cream. I am sure there are simpler,... Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
