My favorite restaurant in town- by a mile. That tuna tartar is just ridiculous. 2 things; - the 'Eric' is the best dessert I've ever tasted -anywhere. - please bring the hon shimeji oysters back!!!!! This would be a michelin rated restaurant( don't know why Montreal doesn't have this system) in any other city!

Thoroughly enjoyed a dinner with my wife at Le Filet on Friday night. Everything was very well appointed and put together and the staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The Tartar was simply one of the best things I have ever eaten and was to die for, hats off to the chef. My only complaint was that our onion rings... More

Le Filet is the second restaurant of "Chasse et Pêche" in Old Montreal. But that's where the link ends. Chasse et Pêche is the cozy comfy place to eat exquisite food, great mixes of meats and seafood. Le Filet service is just a great, friendly and smart. The décor is all black with eclectic things of their walls. The ambiance... More

The food here is excellent in every manner. Taste, texture, colour, presentation are all here. Service was prompt and they good selection of wines with mostly private imports. The excellence comes with a price so don't be surprised. Highly recommended for the upscale eaters.

This restaurant serves only appetizer, similar to tapas but difference it is a smaller entree plate instead of bite size item. The food taps into a variety of influence but with a strong Japanese influence. Everything was at least very good with 4-5 plates that were amazing. They have their owner bakery chef, so dessert are not to be missed.... More

First time dining at Le Filet and the experience was superb! The menu is in three sets, the waiter explains everything, makes suggestions and is very attentive but not pushy. The really emphasize the wine and food combinations. My wife and I went with our waiters recommendation of sharing five dishes, you pick any five from the three sets. The... More

We ordered 6 dishes as a couple. Every dish was outstanding though small. The only trouble was that they came exactly ONE dish at a time (even with 2 people at the table) with a very very long pause in between. We would have liked 2 or 3 dishes at a time for sharing. They didn't take away the one... More
