Great food, fantastic service, nice surroundings. This was one of the most inventive and best meals I have had in the City. The staff were terrific and we enjoyed our wine tastings. Would definitely return again. They have an English menu and welcome Americanos.

Went with my wife to see what all the buzz was about after hearing from different friends how good Le Filet was. We went in a Saturday night. The place was full but we had a reservation. Based on the size of the portions this is a cross between a tapas and a regular restaurant. We read in Trip Advisor... More

I've visited this restaurant twice now It's great. Delicious food, great modern ambiance and attentive service. The tuna and hamachi appetizers were particularly good. This is not a good restaurant for vegetarians who don't eat fish. And the vegetable side dish was meager and uninspired. But otherwise this is a true winner. You won't regret it

Enjoyed a perfect meal in the heart of the Plateau! The fish was prepared to perfection and I enjoyed chatting about Quebec politics with the host Patrick!

Again Le Filet proves that Montreal is a great city to eat! I went there on December 30th with my husband and couple of friends. We had the lobster (fan-tas-tic), the risotto, the squash raviolis, the pulpo, tuna, etc. We shared everything. It was delicate and very tasty. The wine was also great. The bill is not cheap but you... More

If you're willing to pay the price for some fantastic "avant-garde" cuisine. This is the place. All of their plates are carefully designed and the range of tastes is next level!

This came recommended strongly by our host and was so impressive - a selection of dishes picked by the restaurant and brought to the table as they became ready - all the food was divine. Incredible fusion / far eastern / fish based menu but with huge variety. The sommelier is a star - make sure to enjoy the wine... More

The food here is amazing and very well prepared. When you go to a place like this, you may as well splurge a bit and try as many things as possible. It's definitely worth it. I'd recommend anything seafood-related or containing wagyu beef. I find that good wine lists tend to be the weakness of Montreal restaurants but there are... More

Amazing! Service was friendly and courteous from the moment we walked in. We really appreciated that. The food was so good that none was left on the plates! We will designedly be coming back soon....

Staying in Parc du Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Parc du Mont-Royal
Montreal was named for this hilly highland, where the tallest spot in the city overlooks its most extensive parkland. The greenspace of Parc du Mont-Royal is an outdoorsman's dream, with hiking trails and nature walks that cater to every season and level of athlete. In the winter, cross-country skiers, tobogganers, and ice skaters don their equipment by Beaver Lake and its pavilion, while the warmer months bring families and competitors to the pitches of Jeanne-Mance Park for tennis, soccer, football, baseball, volleyball, or a dip in the community pool. A perfect spot for a stroll or a picnic, the forest foliage is dotted with sculpture art and offers views of some of Mont-Royal's oldest edifices, the towering St. Joseph's Oratory and the mausoleums of Notre-Dame-des-Neiges. Home to musical celebrations and twilight snowshoeing alike, visit here to walk, write, rest, think, or just be.
