I was first introduced to the tartare way of life , about 7 years ago, at the original king of tartare "marche 27". Ever since, I crave it at least 3 times a week. Luckily , one opened right next to my work, marche 27 , tartare express , on Philips square. No matter which marche tartare Restaurent I go... More

I go here often, my wife and I other times with friends. delicious tartare made to your liking, like 10 different flavors to go with a variety of meat and fish selection !!! My fav is the deer tartare and mix it up the flavor at different visits. Yummy It's not the only thing on the menu either, they have... More

Super chill place, good vibe :) The staff was helpful and friendly. Food was delicious and nicely plated! I recommend the tasting platter for tartare, you get a bit of everything. Fresh oysters were really good too. Big wine selection and nice drinks! We had an awesome time. Oh and they had churros for desert! :O

Every time I go in, I have a different experience. The service isn't that great, it seemed like the staff didn't like being there and didn't seem to care about our presence. But anyways I was just there for the tartare. I like that I can mix and match which protein with a seasoning. I get my fix here or... More

Visited last year with a friend. Nice spot and great location near st-Laurent. Waitress was friendly but did not do much except change my cocktail when I noticed a piece of fabric or string in the first cocktail... It would've been nice if they had done something special to apologize for that bad experience. Otherwise, the salmon tartare & oysters... More

What really puzzles me about this place is that no one seems to have picked up on it, and copied the format. It is fabulous. You have a selection of raw tartare meats - Hamachi, salmon, tuna (of course), as well as beef, duck, and others to combine with an imaginative selection of sauces. (Some of the more popular sauces... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
