We were cycling and had not planned on a 1st class dinner but when we saw there was a place at the kitchen counter at the Tuck Shop we thought we would try it out (word on the street said it was good). Our casual attire was not a problem. We had Halibut and Cornish Hen and both were very... More

I'll be honest - despite all the hype and rumors of amazing food, I was ready to write this place off after two failed attempts at making a reservation. Why? Because whoever oversees email and social media correspondence completely underwhelmed me with their indifference and lack of interest in making even the smallest attempt to accommodate me. I ended up... More

Tucked away on Notre Dame Street in Montreal, Tuck Spot was truly a wonderful surprise! Had the Crispy fish tacos as an appetizer served with pico de gallo, avocado puree, coriander and homemade very small tortilla ... wow! so very yummy, opened up my taste buds for the terrific entree. Continued with a Market Salad which was so so fresh,... More

Went for dinner with business bunch. We had a sampling menu, a little of everything except the kitchen sink! Dave Attala is a magician! Tartar was divine, best I've had in a very long time. The fish tacos were delicious. Pork belly was tender and moist on the inside and perfectly crisp on the outside with a nice mushroom cream... More

2 of us had dinner on a Thursday evening and arrived with high expectations. In short, we loved our experience. We tried their Tequila cocktail as well as the beer cocktail and enjoyed both. Our water glasses never ran dry either - something so simple but so often overlooked. Staff is young and very friendly but quitr professional and have... More

We were 2 there for our wedding anniversary and the staff from the time we walked in the door until the time we left was great. Never did a drink run dry, they were always close by when you wanted someone but never hovering or annoying. The staff clearly knows the menu very well and makes good recommendations. This is... Food is incredible. Much like most Montreal restaurants it has an understated appeal. Letting the food be the real star. The wait staff is super friendly and helpful.

Great atmosphere, although a little loud. However, it was well worth it! I started with the beef tartar that was amazing! The chef is a culinary wiz! I then had the scallops that were also amazing. Finished with Apple pie that grandma made fresh! I would highly recommend Tuck Shop.

Heard about the place repeatedly. Restaurant owners originally from Montreal West so how could it not be great? Took the family for supper last Friday night. Small venue, crowded, buzzing -- excellent atmosphere. Small menu -- 4 or 5 appetizers, 4 or 5 mains -- but not a dog in the bunch. Great choices: fresh fish, nice variety of meats,... More

Cool atmosphere, excellent service, appetizers were an excellent mix of fish, seafood, meat and veggies along with veggie accompaniments. Main courses were also excellent with a mix of various accompaniments (but larger than the appetizers). Reasonably priced.
