We had an amazing night out in town with the family as we came across a Resturant that friends were all raving about !! It's truly all true what they all said about the hidden Gem , with by far the most gorgeous outdoor terrace !! The food was to die for , everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection... More

My wife and I recently had our wedding at Fino. It was a perfect evening all around. The service and staff were excellent and the food was nothing short of amazing! Fino did everything they could to ensure the evening went off without a hitch. They were extremely professional and accommodating. All of our guests raved about the food and... More

One of my favourite restaurants because of 2 things - the food and the courtyard The food is incredible with great flavours and imagination. My all time faves are the gnocchi and I was pleasantly surprised to see a new twist to them for a lighter summer fare. The courtyard adds a different ambience altogether and it can't be beat... I went for lunch. The service is impeccable. The menu is limited, but varied. So you found a fish, one or two meats, seafood and salad. We tried the shrimp, fish of the day and onion soup and duck. The fish and shrimp were excellent, but the soup was OK. Too much cheese. I will go back for business, not... More

Gone to this place often and never disappointed. The service is impeccable, the chef is fantastic. It is always a pleasure eating there. If you go you have to try the martini made with espresso coffee also the martini made with red basil and strawberry to die for. They offer a table d'hôte that will satisfy your appetite. The food... the location in the heart of montreal on the prime fashion street has recently expanded; the decor is delightful and the service started out really well.....then the roof fell in......we were 6 in our party and one of the meals arrived 10 minutes after the other main courses (that is a serious flaw) while one of the other meals, broiled... Having just moved to the downtown neighborhood we recently discovered this little gem. We have eaten here 3 times this month and loved every meal. The manager is Hands on, friendly and so helpful. I'll be back regularly, and it's walking distance from my home and most downtown hotels.

Food and service were outstanding. I asked our waitress for help choosing between 2 appetizers and had the best response I have ever had from a server (and we eat out a lot!). She thought about the rest of my meal and made a great recommendation. Portobello tower and risotto with filet mignon, grilled salmon were all excellent. There was... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
