Amazing meal

Beautifully served, our meals were delicious. Our table ordered the soft shell crab and lamb as starters and the beef and rabbit. The service was excellent.

This restaurant is a study in contrasts, on the edge of China Town, tucked between commercial storefronts, with no discernable sign, the magic happens on the plate. Our party chose the sweetbreads, hamachi, and oysters for our appetizers and had to share bites as each plate was more delicious than the previous. The cocktails were interesting and showed an excellent... More

One of the finest place in Mtl to my opinion. Using local products, of high quality. They had "oursins" when I was there on May 2nd. So fresh! Deserts are also excellent which is not always the case even in fine restaurants. Ideally located downtown. It was my forth time there and it is always amazing. I will go again... More

We can comment on several visits at this great restaurant. One of the finest food in Mtl. The service is very good without being too formal. The "menu degustation" is almost reaching perfection. I recommend the wine match which is original and harmonious.

Phenomenal food, excellent service, friendly and informative staff. This is one of my favourite spots in Montreal. This is food science at its best! Every component in every plate is well thought out. Had the crab appetizer which is an absolute delight. Then ordered the scallops which I were perfectly cooked. The best scallops I've ever had. Highly recommend this... More

Though the outside of the restaurant represents the biggest possible controversy versus the food inside, it may be "that touch of magic" that leaves you behind in total Delight , once having seen and tasted the food served in bouillon bilk. The very well balanced palet of colours and flavours on the plate keep on surprising your taste and senses.... More

Superb innovative food. A very creative blending of flavors. Service was a little slow and the place is a little noisy but the food was worth the wait.

The restaurant is classic. We reserved ahead of time. Received well and then promptly seated. The menu is a little difficult to decipher as they mention the ingredients but don't talk much about the preparation. The menu had a number of items that might not be for everyone including duck hearts. The appetizer was small (but delicious!) The main course... More

I had been to this restaurant a few years ago and I think it's now one of the best in Montreal. We started with a gaspacho(very different then the usual Spanish one) spicy with small accompaniments(Parmesan crisp, mozzarella di buffala. For my main course I had cavatelli pasta with rabbit sauce and my friend had doré de mer with cod brandade.Excellent.My friend... A top quality place. Each dish we had was made to perfection - creativity, ingredients, taste and presentation alike. Good wine list and extremely minimal decor, that somehow matches it all. Did I mention impeccable service? Have spent much more $$$ in high-end NYC and DC restaurants and would consider Bouillion Bilk on par with most, at a much better... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
