The food tastes heavenly and they keep changing their menu so each time you go there you get to experience very very good food. The portions are not a lot so that is the only negative thing about this restaurant.

We were there on a Sunday night, still the restaurant was busy. The decor is pleasantly modern, but unfortunately the noise travels too well in this space. We were sitting by the window, but we could not hear the person across the table. That was our main disappointment. The food was superb: beautiful presentation, perfectly cooked crisp vegetables. Bouillion Bilk was a fun inventive restaurant. Not a restaurant you might pass as a traveler, but what a find. We especially enjoyed out main courses and an exquisite dessert.

We started with the oysters which were amazing and fresh. The mignonette was made with rhubarb. It was delicious and unusual. That was the tone for the whole meal. Lobster, duck and scallops were all perfectly cooked and accompanied by mouses gelles and crunchy bits that were all tasty and interesting. Some combinations worked brilliantly , others were just interesting.... More

Food and service were impeccable. Liked the modern design elements. Our friends are vegetarian and they may the ravioli without the lamb (some places don’t go that far to accommodate). Overall, the entrees and mains were really awesome. Much better value than Torque!, although that was a special place. I’d return here for sure on my next Montreal visit.

Nice menu, good wine list, staff was professional. Overall well worth the price. We will definitely go back.

I agree with other reviewers that the cuisine is inventive--although sometimes overly fussy (a superb Hamachi appetizer was not enhanced by the intense tastes of the accompanying raspberries and blackberries. The service is terrible: interminable waits between courses, indifferent and inattentive wait staff. And unreasonably high prices.

If you love French food, you absolutely must visit bouillon bilk. I've been here several times and was never once disappointed. The service is attentive. The oysters were great. The cavatelli rabbit lemon appetizer was amazing. Every dish I've had was great. I especially loved dessert, fresh baked cookies.

If you scan my TA reviews you'll see I reserve a full 5 stars for a very few standout restaurants. Bouillon Bilk deserves every one of them. I think the closest experience I've had to this—my first but definitely not last dinner at Bouillon Bilk—is one a couple of years ago at Antico Arco, an exceptional restaurant in Rome: both... More

We'd been to Bouillon Bilk a few times before the renovation/expansion and were keen to try out its new space, and check whether the whole experience was the same. We weren't disappointed. Now, it's important to mention that BB's chefs experiment with flavours, textures and temperatures. None of your classic/standard fare here, there's surprise in every dish. The upside is... More
