The day was screaming hot (95F) and all we wanted was some place cool and close to where we had just gotten off the double decker bus. The patio looked inviting but full so we were seated inside. All we had was the soup of the day but it was delicious and hit the spot.....cold celery soup. Would defiantly return... More

We came in to escape a rain shower and the place was packed. They found a couple of seats at the bar and we had an excellent meal. They had a great beer selection as well. Fun place--friendly staff.

Really trendy place in downtown. Great food, great drinks the mussels with bacon and apple cider was really a winner and worth going back for. Trout entree, vodka tonic etc. corn fritters were just average , Good place to bring someone from out of town.

The menu is thoughtful with suggestions of tantalizing tastes to come but the grilled cod on grilled asparagus with new potatoes in butter was good idea but in the execution was over salted, over buttered and overcooked to the extent that the cod had a hard inedible crust. On the other hand the coarse patte and house chutney was excellent... More

The Dominion is a piece of Montreal from the early 20th century and the decor hasn't changed. Food is always delicious and there is a small but good selection of beer. Cocktails are excellent as well. Location is convenient, in the business district near the large hotels. Service is slow but if you are enjoying your drink and the atmosphere... More

Beautifully appointed French bistro with decent menu. VERY loud and the "house filtered" water for 3$, seriously? Super pretentious. But Montrealers like to spend money on nominal things to make them feel important sometimes.

Nice décor and a great atmosphere to eat in. The service was excellent, waiters very friendly and attentive. The food was really nice in good sized portions and there was a good choice of cocktails at very reasonable prices compared to the UK. A nice evening out.

The decor here is lovely to look at. The canuck cocktail is terrific. The menu options are varied and plenty. The scotch egg is delicious, the cheese plate is huge, the gravlax is tasty and filling (but not your typical blini), the fries and mashed potatoes were both ok, and the steak was delicious. The service is always good.

I had walked by this place numerous times on my way to work and thought the bar interesting ( I'm a bit of a bar fanatic ). One day I walked in, sidled up to the bar, ordered a local draft followed by mussels cooked in the traditional way, that is nothing fancy My brother and sister were coming to... More
