We found the menu to be highly creative with a variety of complementary flavors. We selected the Larded Liver Pate appetizer and the Suckling Pig and Duck Magret entrees. Uncharacteristically, we relied on Anthony to select a wine. The Pessac-Leognan 2007 proved to be a perfect match. The meal was perfectly paced so that we could thoroughly enjoy each course.... More

After a recent change in chefs at Les 400 Coups there was concern with Montreal foodies that the magic of the former regime would be lost. Not so. Chef Guillaume has maintained the excellence of the house and added a wonderful personal touch. His cold onion soup with sturgeon and elderberries is sublime. Not to be missed. Make sure to... More

During a weekend stay in Montreal we dined on a Saturday night. The experience from beginning to end was a wonderful experience. The food was outstanding & so was the service. The employees take pride in their food and really care that you enjoy your evening. My wife had suckling pig & I had yellow sturgeon. Both were prepared to... More

The restaurant operates very smoothly, almost clinically. And that is the problem. There is nothing technically wrong with the food -- indeed, everything is prepared with precision and displayed wonderfully. However, of the six items my wife and I had, only one came together as a unified dish. To give an example, I had the duck breast. Beautiful slices of... More

My wife & I were in Quebec/Montreal for six days & this was by far the best meal we had. Pate to start. Guinea fowl with crab bisque as one entree. Rabbit tagliatelle for the other. A small but sufficient chocolate dessert. Red wine was very good & dessert wine was a nice finish. Food, atmosphere & service were wonderful.... More

Between a 4 and 5 star rating. The service is personal and good. The menu offers a wind selection to suit most tastes. Do reserve.

We enjoyed the tasting menu paired with wines. Five courses and each one better than the last. The level of detail and tastes that went into each dish was fantastic. They must have a small army working in the kitchen chopping, sauteeing, pickling, mincing, making sauces, ice creams, truffles, etc. Service was attentive but not hovering - each course was... More

Had received a gift voucher for this restaurant several months ago and we kept putting it off thinking this would be one of those pretentious, stuffy and expensive restaurants. We changed our minds as soon as we walked in. We were greeted and seated without too much fuss, but with just the right amount of attention. We took the degustation... More

The menu, while small, was enticing. The food was an inventive take on French-Canadian cusine and delicious. The service was excellent and the atmosphere perfect.

Great lunch experience, but what blew me away was the signature dessert created by the pastry chef who longer works there. Quite the dessert connaisseur myself, theirs was the most exquisite I have ever tasted.
