Description: F Bar is Ferreira's new born from the Ferreria group. Located in the heart of the effervescent Quartier des Spectacles, in a luminous and relaxed atmosphere, F Bar is a must for all foodies. Chef offers a savoring menu in which he favors fresh market produce with a Portuguese touch! His inspiration? 'I hope to offer our clients perfumed, light and typical Mediterranean dishes, a region where I come from, along with Portuguese accents in which olive oil will be my sole instrument!' He explains with enthusiasm. The service is friendly and discreet which adds to the wonderful dining experience at F Bar.

This review will not discuss food as in the end we did not eat there. On a Saturday we came to the restaurant without having a reservation we were told there was not any room. However there might be a wait of 45 mins. Another couple came in behind us (also no reseveration) same answer we (both couples) even asked... More

Although we knew the restaurant to be a bistro, we were expecting a quality experience based on the owner's other restaurant, the Ferreira Cafe. We were a group of ten at the table. The service was long and it seemed that the restaurant was ill prepared to accomodate a group of 10 clients. We returned two steaks, which were overcooked.... More

Made a reservation a week ago. When we arrived they could not find my reservation. They gave us a table. My spouse had cod fritters which were excellent. For an entre, we both had shrimp risotto. It was delicious. In our 3 days in Montreal, F Bar served the most creative food. Presented well and tasted wonderful. Service was terrific.... More

We sat at the bar and enjoyed expertly prepared cocktails with good (not great) food. Raw oysters were not very fresh. Two of them had an off flavor. Always smell them before serving, and now before eating. The foie gras preparation was unusual, but didn't make a whole lot of sense to me, my gidille (sp.) was clean tasting and... More

This was my second time at F Bar and my wife's third. It is located right in Place de Arts where most of the festivals take place. On this occasion we were there for the Just for Laughs festival. The restaurant is located right across from the main stage. We got there a little early and had not problem getting... More

Lovely setting and a great patio for people watching. Service was excellent, great wine recommendation. Food was good not great though. Steak was very chewy but the prawns with humus were delicious.

My husband and I, along with another couple dined here on July 18th. It was a hot and humid summer night and the Just for Laughs Festival was going on around us. The atmosphere was quintessential Montreal. The restaurant decor is identical to Brasserie T next door to F Bar. Since Brasserie T was here first, I'd say this is... More

Our experience at the F-Bar was good until we had to deal with the manager, Mathieu, who refused to redeem a coupon. When I asked why he would not redeem it, he acted in a very condescending way basically telling us to shut up and listen to what he had to say. He blamed the accounting department as an excuse... F Bar is one of two restaurants that are glass boxes set on the sidewalk next to the arts center. We sat outside under the awning and had a lovely seafood-based meal with friendly attentive service and a crisp, fruity Portuguese white wine. My halibut with a raisin parsley topping was scrumptious and my hubby had some sort of crispy... More

I went there for my girlfriend birthday! We had the fish, gespacho and a very good Portuguese wine! Price with service close to 250$. A place to remember for the creative cooking, great service and unique location!
