This restaurant serves surprisingly good dishes for a fair price. The flavour combinations are great and the dishes look beautiful. Also, service is very pleasant and kind.

We visited this establishment during our recent visit to Montreal. Based on all the reviews we have seen, our expectations were quite high, and we were very much impressed. From the moment we walked into this restaurant until we left, everything was perfect! Such friendly service, explaining each dish with such passion and delicious food. Everything we ordered was absolutely... More

So the location is not what one expects when you book a reservation in an unknown city for the 10th most popular resturaunt. After our cab took us for a ride about town we got to Chez Chose 10 minutes late. Moral of that story is take Uber! However, even being late the staff was very kind. We were given... More

I don't think we've ever been made to feel this welcome in a Montreal restaurant. Both ladies who served us tried to anticipate our every need (we had our baby daughter with us), and seemed to genuinely want to make us feel at home. The food was excellent, especially the starters (soup, scallops, salad). The mains were also very tasty,... More

We had the tasting menu - the food was amazing but so rich we actually couldn't finish it! The portions were honestly each the size of a full meal. Robert was a wonderful host and Marie is a fantastic chef - but next time i'm ordering from the menu! The foie gras on french toast with gooseberry syrup and crackerjacks... More

Staying in Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension

Neighborhood Profile
Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension
The most ethnically diverse of all of Montreal's neighborhoods, Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension (or, Parc-Ex) stands at the city's center, a hub for rail and metro traffic. Starting at the old station where the Canadian Pacific used to disembark, the brick-and-mortar surroundings of Parc-Ex have a homey feel, with leafy lawns and bicycle lanes seamlessly incorporated into the landscape. With prominent Greek and Spanish communities, Greektown includes the tastiest stops for brochettes and shawarma, and local bars entertain an excitable soccer fanbase. Jerry Park and Stade Uniprix stand ready for sports diehards to enjoy a game, while the the Complexe Environnemental Saint-Michel and Le Taz skate parks invite athletes to train and compete. Though built for the active and best by day, Cirque du Soleil, the TOHU center for arts, and the Le Boulevard shopping center offer diversions for those who wish to stay late.
