So much food!

We had the tasting menu - the food was amazing but so rich we actually couldn't finish it! The portions were honestly each the size of a full meal. Robert was a wonderful host and Marie is a fantastic chef - but next time i'm ordering from the menu! The foie gras on french toast with gooseberry... read more

Eight friends attending the 2015 F1 Grand Prix had a fabulous, funny night enjoying the tasting menu with wine pairings at Chez Chose. The host was attentive and hilarious, merging into our group and entertaining us with wonderful stories and humor. The food is the result of the inventive mind of his wife and world class chef! For instance, the... More

We decided to try this restaurant after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. Made our reservations while driving up to Canada. We had to take the Metro to get there. Great little restaurant. Very comfortable atmosphere and the staff and owners were very friendly. Menu written in French but Robert will explain everything for you! He was very pleasant and gave... More

Another refugee from St. Denis as the former chi-chi street continues to die has found a new home in Rosemont Petit Patrie. The area is in early stages of gentrification so don't be put off by a hardscrabble neighbourhood. Parking is easy. Robert, owner and spirit of Chez Chose is gracious and fun. He takes pride in his restaurant and... More

I have known this restaurant for many years (from when it was on St-Denis). Its current location is in the middle of nowwhere and frankly, one is not too sure if it is a good idea to come in. The service is as good as it was. The description of the plates by itself is worth the experience. The quality... More

We went to this restaurant because it was close to our apartment and the reviews were good. And it was totally worth it! Food is amazing, portions are very generous and the staff is great. Will go back for sure!

What a great Montreal experience! The food was super tasty and reasonably priced, and the service was outstanding (thank you Robert). Thanks to TripAdvisor for highlighting this - it was exactly what we were looking for. Great locally sourced food, in an interesting setting, with friendly service - exceeded our expectations on all three.

Staying in Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension

Neighborhood Profile
Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension
The most ethnically diverse of all of Montreal's neighborhoods, Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension (or, Parc-Ex) stands at the city's center, a hub for rail and metro traffic. Starting at the old station where the Canadian Pacific used to disembark, the brick-and-mortar surroundings of Parc-Ex have a homey feel, with leafy lawns and bicycle lanes seamlessly incorporated into the landscape. With prominent Greek and Spanish communities, Greektown includes the tastiest stops for brochettes and shawarma, and local bars entertain an excitable soccer fanbase. Jerry Park and Stade Uniprix stand ready for sports diehards to enjoy a game, while the the Complexe Environnemental Saint-Michel and Le Taz skate parks invite athletes to train and compete. Though built for the active and best by day, Cirque du Soleil, the TOHU center for arts, and the Le Boulevard shopping center offer diversions for those who wish to stay late.
