Wonderful!

We literally stumbled on Quattro while walking through Old Montreal early on a Sunday evening and are very fortunate we did. The food is delicious, prices reasonable and the owner is a delightful "character." Would definitely repeat.

Very functional interior with good art work on the walls. We both ordered a glass of red (montepulciano for me, pinot noir for my wife) and the "prix fix" - which is basically a soup or salad and entree and coffee for between $25 ad $31. She ordered soup (a hearty vegetable) and I, the salad (nicely dressed, fresh). I... More

Everything we ordered was very good. Portions were large. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing. Owner seemed to check on all visitors.

Quattro is appropriately named for its big friendly square shaped room - and manager. He and his staff gave us a warm welcome. In fact he even attempted the odd verse of song as he poured from bottles of wine and returned them to their ledges. The information he gave about the Lugano we chose was a little inconsistent. It... Were planning to seek out a dressy/pricey dinner and after a long day of wandering decided to go for casual/easy fare. In search of Italian and tumbled upon Quattro -- what a find! Arrived with no reservation and the gentleman who greeted was humming and welcomed us in and seated us. The food was wonderful!! My seafood risotto was creamy... More

Quattro was recommended to us by my sister who had dined there a few weeks previously while on a business trip. It was a short walk from where we were staying so we gave it a try. We had no reservations and they seated us but I would recommend booking ahead as the restarant is not huge and was busy.... More

They squished us in without reservations and what a treat of a meal! Staff were fantastic and owner seemed to love his job and people. Food was divine and while on the pricey side, the servings were quite generous. Mushroom risotto was amazing as was the seafood risotto. Beautiful bruschetta served to all tables ... Loved this place.

This is a magnificent Italian restaurant. We were personally waited (and "entertained") on by the owner himself. The seafood dishes were fresh and very flavorful. It is absolutely worth a visit.

I found this restaurant on TripAdvisor when we were going to Montreal for lunch, and as usual, I was not steered incorrectly! The restaurant is in Old Town Montreal, which is a very cute but touristy area. It's just about a block away from the Basilica. We had the grilled calamari to start and it was perfect. I had the... Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighborhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic center of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its center, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theater.
