Great breakfast! Convenient location to the Bell Centre Hotels

We (my wife, two pre teen sons and myself... old grumpy guy) went here on a Saturday morning for breakfast before exploring the city. It was a great location for us as it was a short walk from the hotel. Our two pre teen sons each had a Breakfast Sampler (two fried eggs, two bacon strips, two... read more

Just a block from the Best Western hotel. Great food and atmosphere. The home of the Reuben Sandwich. The washrooms were on the second floor. Be prepared for a line at the door.

We had a party of 40 people and they accommodated us quite nicely in the back of the restaurant. The wait staff was attentive and the food came quickly. The chop chop poutine - poutine with montreal smoked meat on top - was phenominal. A must have. I would eat here again.

A great place to go to have the famous smoked meat sandwich. Good size meals and kids menu also. The desserts are amazing!

Picture this, it's snowing like the North Pole outside and we stumble into Reuben's. It's warm, cozy and had chill music playing. We are immediately seated and looked after. It took some time to choose from the extensive menu but we settled for the classic club sandwich and a deli cob salad with two glares of red wine. Both dishes... More

We stumbled across Reuben's and I was immediately enthralled with the sight and smells. It reminded me of the delectable corned beef on rye lunch I had every Saturday where I grew up, as well as the famous Carnegie Deli in NYC. We ordered Reuben sandwiches and we did not know what kind of beef it was. It did not... More

I have been here before but at their original store. The new location was near where I needed to be in the financial district and it was amazing. The murals resemble the work of Diego Rivera in Rockefeller center in style. The food is all a bit out sized, better for sharing but the quality and service were just right.... More

I was on a trip to Montreal at the end of November and ended up eating at Rueben's once in the middle of the afternoon and one morning for breakfast. Food was good and the service was good. This place seems quite popular with the locals as it was completely filled both times I went. I would describe it as... More

My husband and I always try to make a stop at Reuben's when we are in Montreal. The smoked meat sandwich is amazing and never disappoints! I always go for the famous super sandwich which is served with fries, coleslaw and a pickle. Everything is always super yummy and satisfies our craving for smoked meat. I am always to full... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
