Le Quartier General is great, serves fantastic food, and has excellent (bilingual) service. This is a bring-your-own-wine place, which makes it considerably more affordable. In fact, I would recommend bringing a bottle each (trust me, Montreal will not pass judgement on you). If you forgot about the wine, there are several SAQ liquor stores around where you will find a... More

Although the restaurant was noisy, it was a wonderful evening. The food was outstanding, the waitress attentive and very knowledgeable and the meal was well paced so we never felt rushed as we were catching up with each other.

You need reservations. This is a neighborhood restaurant. It is filled to capacity. The people of Montreal know good food so they eat here. This is a bring your own wine restaurant. It is crowded and noisy. It is one good sized room with a tin ceiling and a visible kitchen. The menu is is french on a large chalkboard.... More

Great restaurant, amazing service and delicious food. Can be a bit loud. Hard to get a reservation, they have to seatings, but if you don't mind starting dinner at 9 PM, that seating is easier to come by.

Went there as part of a group of 6 people. Le Quartier General does 2 seatings, so we booked the earliest one at 6pm on a week day. The restaurant seats about 50, so it is not too small or too big. The first of only two negative points: too noisy... we were the first table in the restaurant, so... More

This is a very good bring your own wine restaurant, it's worth popping your good bottles for, the service is very good and so is the ambiance.

We just visited Montreal and had 3 amazing dinners, the restaurants were ranked #3, #4 and #71 on trip advisor, the latter being this one, but Le Quartier General was my favourite by a mile. Food is insanely good. We all ordered the table d'hote which gives you either a soup or salad, an appetizer, an entrée and dessert. The... More

This restaurant is a little gem of goodness (on top of being a BYOW). The food is freshly prepared, regionally selected and exquisitely presented; the wait staff are knowledgeable and friendly; the atmosphere charming and cozy; and the prices super affordable (I told them to raise them!). The only downside -- You need a reservation -- because this restaurant is... More

After finally getting a reservation at this restaurant, I can honestly say I wasn't that impressed. I read many good reviews but unfortunately I left disappointed. The food was just ok, nothing special. The veal chop was good but the best thing we ate was the dessert. The lemon curd cake and the vanilla creme brule were both amazing. We tried... More

I cannot say enough about the excellent food and service we enjoyed in this warm and inviting restaurant. It was during the Highlights Festival and a special 6 course feast was on offer - all local and regional delicacies prepared with love and artistic flair. Each dish was a unique taste sensation. I especially savoured the duck prociutto, the trout... More
