Great Music!

My boyfriend and i were told to check this place out by a local and we were not disappointed. Beer was great and the atmosphere was cool. Best of all- the live band was a blast!

I recently came with my cousin and I have to say this bar never gets old. The staff is Grade A professional and friendly. The food is reasonably priced and delicious. The calamari is wonderful. In addition, this bar is clean with great live music. A must visit after the Habs game.

Met my friend here for dinner and really liked the place. For people visiting Montreal from Western Canada, this is exactly like Ceilis.

My wife and I ventured out of our hotel room on a very cold and blustery Saturday afternoon in search of a pint and either Fish & Chips or Shepherd’s Pie. Our walk took us to the doorstop of the Irish Embassy Pub & Grill, located on Rue Bishop, just one block up from Crescent Street. The atmosphere inside is... More

There is a reason that the Irish Embassy is busy just about every night - its consistently good at everything it does.

Definitely worth a visit. As visitors to Toronto we thought we would have an early dinner but so did all the Toronto business men. But we didn't have a long wait for a table and it was worth it. The decore is intimate in a beautiful building. The menu, while not large, is comprehensive and the prices are great for... More

Went in before the Habs game and got a pound of wings and beer combo special for $12. What a bargain! Food was good and service was fast despite how busy it was in there.

Great spot for a beer - beer menu is exhaustive and competitively priced (especially before 7pm). Menu is a bit limited (1 page) but food has been good. Nice floor-to-ceiling window in front gives terrasse type feel in wintertime. Service was also good and friendly.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
