Excellent cafe. Tiny and probably not noticeable on the street side but if you manage to go you will be pleasantly surprised. Owner is very friendly - service tad bit slow but relaxed atmosphere no rush. Tried the sandwhiches and soup. Bread was so tasty. Reasonably priced. Coffees were amazing. Owner treated my children to a chocolate croissant words can't... More

The staffs are very polite and helpful and have the great will to serve till they close at 5pm. I normally go get my dinner there around 4pm but today I went at 4h45 and all food was gone. The staff was very sympathetic and he went to get all fresh vegetables and all to make me my dinner. They... More

We came in off the street looking for breakfast. We ordered the breakfast panini and were surprised at how amazing it was. The sandwich was packed with yummy stuff and was grilled to perfection. While sitting and waiting for it to be prepared we watched a stream of people come in to order their special coffees. The staff was working... More

My wife and I stopped here during our walking tour of Old Montreal. Cute coffee shop, plenty of seating. Employees were friendly. Coffee was excellent. We had some sandwiches and side items, which were OK. Prices were reasonable. Good stop if you want a drink, quick meal and get going on your way.

Fabulous place for breakfast + and espresso. John, (the owner) was exceptionally nice and welcoming. Buttery croissants... chocolate... hazelnut... almond... and delicious breakfast sandwiches on a croissant. (....Frank From Boston.)

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighborhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic center of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its center, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theater.
