More than a restaurant, we're an institution. Quality cuts, cooked to perfection for over three decades. All our beef is AAA Canadian Certified and aged for at least 30 days. You'll love the classic atmosphere, warm and welcoming. We're situated directly on St. Paul Street in a beautiful, century-old structure. Great Steak

The value of this restaurant on St. Paul was not to be equalled. We ate dinner early....at 5 pm and there was a special price before 6pm....we were thrilled! The waiter wasn't overly friendly, but the food was great.

I wanted something that was more quaint and "Old Montreal" but could not find anything and ended up here to be very pleased. We were seated at the window which was very picturesque. George was our server and he was fantastic. I was not feeling well and dressed very casually, I felt underdressed so I would recommend dressing up slightly.

We passed by this restaurant at first because I didn't think it was quaint enough as I wanted something that seemed like "Old Montreal". However, after not many restaurants being opened on a Monday in Winter, we went back here and OMG, I am so glad we did. The food is amazing and so well priced. I have to admit... More

We stopped in for lunch and had a great Greek salad and a delectable French onion soup. Our fantastic server George was so friendly and helpful that despite other recommendations we returned to the Vieux-Port. They did not disappoint. We were lucky enough to have George again as our server and another round of delicious food and great wine. Will... More

Was looking for a late brunch and found the Steakhouse. Wide selection of food, salads and desserts, the service was corteous but sporadic, I understand is a buffet and the place gets crowded but we had to wait for long periods to get water, coffee and have the plates taken away. Maybe next time will go there earlier than 2pm.

We stopped by here yesterday for lunch. Very nice inside and the wood burning fireplace was a nice touch, very cozy. I had the lobster bisque and the crab cakes. Nice wine selection as well. I would love to go back for dinner next time I'm there.

was very disapointed. Lobster was dried up and cheese cake tasted old. The service and ambiance were very good. It is a beautiful restaurant but was disapointed in the food.

Enjoyed this restaurant many times over the years and twice on our latest trip to Montreal. What I like is the open air dining in the quieter garden - called La Terrace - at the back off the St Paul main street. What I also like is the simpler menu with plenty of nice additions and extras. Just wonderfully prepared... More

We came in from the cold for a quick lunch while wandering Old Montreal. A cozy table by the fire was just perfect. For lunch they have a choice of and a few entrees and a few apps for a reasonable price. I just wanted a burger, but throw in some Escargot au Gratin for a bit more $ and... More
