We had the best of time as a family (the occasion was my past B-day). The service was fantastic, you almost feel you are invited for dinner at a friend's home. Both our 4 year old and our 16 year old boy felt welcome. The food was really good. We started shearing 2 plates of escargot, tender and in a... More

Had dinner during a relatively quiet week night. The service was outstanding, the food and dishes were cooked and seasoned to perfection and the portions are good. Nice atmosphere. Both owners work at the bistro (one is the cook). You can be sure he makes sure his dishes and food are cooked to perfection. A must visit when in Montreal.

We wanted to try a french restaurant on a short trip to Montreal. This restaurant hit the spot with its classic bistro style. The services is intimate and both chef and font of house made every effort to assist with our french and make it a special night. The wine list was a highlight with a concise list of local... More

Very good food and service. Best duck confit ever! Off the beaten path with friendly owners. Good menu.

A very enjoyable little husband and wife bistro. Amuse bouche of salmon mousse with a bit of Canadian caviar was delicious. Six escargots for about $6US? Amazing. Disagree with reviewer who thought prices are above average. Homemade duck foie gras torchon with fig jam; delicious and generous portion. Our entrees were a classic duck confit with melting duck fat potato... More

Great ambiance, amazing food, great service. The restaurant's look is cozy with exposed red brick walls, the music is a mix of jazz and old french classics from Joe Dassin notably. On the menu are french classic dishes. You must try the homemade smoked salmon.. Delicious! We are going back again this month and recommend this place to tourists as... More

We went there with huge expectation after reading good reviews. Food was super ordinary. Amuse was actually our highlight. I was very disappointed with duck confit. I don't think it was even fresh. My appetizer, smoke salmon was quite good though. Not what I thought of.

Dear customer, we think we know who you are . We want to tell you that we sold 8 more duck confit that night without any complain . Our confit is our best seller . After reading your other reviews you seem to be very hard to satisfy. So we will take your three stars as a hight level score... More

My girlfriend and I had a phenomenal meal at Bistro Duo.D. The location was intimate and the hostess/waitress was very helpful even to a wayward American such as myself. While the French Onion Soup was unremarkable, what put this place over the top was our entrees. My veal w/ pepper sauce was quite literally the best veal I have ever... More

Located in the Notre Dame / Mountain street area that is breeding a host of new restaurant alternates, the advantage of Douo.D is that you can park your car without the hassle of the Plateau. Another plus is that the ambient noise level is low, great for a romantic evening or dinner with an older guest. The restaurant is run... More
