The mix of the different tastes of all the ingredients was excellent. The service also was very good (all dishes were explained by the chef, the waitress was very cheerful). The prices were a little bit high but it's worth it. A very good evening!

This is quite the unassuming restaurant: it seats no more than 20 people, kitchen is the size of a stamp, small menu, one server, one chef. But, WOW! First impressions can be deceiving. The food in this place was sincerely amazing: flavorful, creative, beautiful to look at, difficult to categorize and not at all pretentious. The closest I can come... More

I had the 5 course fix and the other half had the 6 course fix. From the salad starter to the dessert there was amazing attention to detail and placement of dish components. Our lovely waitress provides Sake and food recommendations and was super friendly. Very cosy atmosphere perfect for couples or small groups. Overall we had a very filling... More

we went there as a couple and enjoyed our experience. The food was tasteful, the service good ( a long waiting time though) and the price reasonable.

My boyfriend invite me at Toroli for my birthday as we read good reviews and were always wondering were this place is next door to our flat. Finally we were in front of this tiny house, you can just pass in front without noticing that it's a restaurant there. Inside are just a few seating, around 12! our waitress welcome... More

We finally made it to Toroli on a snow storm night and let's just say we are difficult to impress when it comes to restaurants and food. Having been to Japan twice, and having heard great reviews about the place, we were not disappointed. The flavors were superbly complex and the chef's imagination was reflected in every dish in a... Ok !! Some people like to have a beautiful restaurant. Personally, I prefer to have a beautiful diner. When you open a restaurant with a limited budget, it is better to give the most in your cooking than in the room. And here we are. The food is incredible. Creation, flavor, imagination. What you eat is just perfect. And I... More

Went with my husband last night and was completely delighted by our dinner! We took the five course meal, and from starters to deserts, every single dish Was just perfection! The lady who served us, charming. We got to taste several sakés before making our final choice, too. The restaurant is tiny and the chef cooks right in the same... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
