Just really good !

After a few days of meat free food in Canada, this is a great antidote. It's simple, tasty, fresh, happy service, in a friendly buzzing place. Couldn't recommend it more as the total opposite to some very average food court food in Montreal. Food cooked and served with care - great place...

The most recent visit was pretty short. Early evening, few customers, a couple of staff behind the order desk and several in the kitchen. No greeting when the two of us arrived. We checked out the menu for a minute, then stepped up to order. Which is when one staffperson left to go into the kitchen, the other turned her... More

Mentioned in Moon guide book, this vegetarian restaurant has since changed management and is run by a co-op. Though the burrito we ordered was OK, the menu was limited and they were out of some ingredients and drinks. I thought it was overpriced for what we had. The brownstone residence converted to restaurant has potential but instead felt shabby (not... More

I always loved Mexican food, REAL Mexican food, not the American/Mexican food. Its really hard to find an authentic Mexican restaurant. Burritoville it the closest i've ever got. Most authentic in Montreal and organic and tasty. I'll advice anyone that wanna go in a Mexican food restaurant to go there, vegetarian or not.

Not going to lie, but I went here after the burrito place I was planning on was closed, and I was a little concerned when I noticed that it was a vegetarian place. BUT I take all my doubts back. The guy who served me was friendly and happy to chat about the menu. I came mid afternoon, I'm guessing... More

Burritoville is the place to go if you are vegetarian or vegan! They serve handmade and freshly made tacos with a wide menu choice and locally produced products. The tacos are excellent! I would strongly recommend it to anyone who is visiting Montreal.

Ok had two daughters with me who were hungry and willing to oblige veggy dad. We had the lunchtime special which was a burrito or quesadilla each with a drink and one side salad. You order your food from the counter and away you go. The place is simple and laid back. It reminded me of similar restaurants that used... More

The food here is good, in particular the tasty sweet potato burritos and the fresh guacamole. The setting is comfy casual and the staff is friendly. However, the prices do not match the quantity of food -- the various components of a simple meal add up to much more than they should. Also, they tend to run out of numerous... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
