Best macarons ever!!

A visit to Montreal is never complete without a stop here! I didn't know what the big deal was with macarons until I tried these! I've had macarons from a few places in Montreal and Toronto and this place is my fav by a mile! They have wonderful flavours and a great texture. Very fresh!

I had never really tried macarons before visiting this shop (and it really is more of a store than a cafe since there are only two chairs to sit in) but it was not hard to judge the quality of these delights! The most difficult part of the visit is trying to decide how much you'd like to splurge on... More

Flavours are varied from lemon to dark chocolate and choosing can be tricky because they all are delish! A good macaroon is not always easy to find, they can be grainy, not the case when you have one from Point G, it is pure bliss. I also purchased some of their unusual wasabi & ginger vinegar pearls. It was fantastic... More

tried to so many of their macaroons and I wish I got more, their vanilla, pistachio and coffee are delicious. They were fresh and crunchy on the outside and just the right chewy/soft inside, just perfect. Even better than some I had in Paris!

The macarons were delicious (even the flavors I thought I wouldn't like) and the girl that helped us was super patient and sweet. I noticed they had some yummy looking sauces and concoctions in little jars, but forgot to take a closer look so I will be back for them next time I'm in Montreal! I wish they were open... More

perfect to drop in, pick up a box of your favourite flavours and take home for a treat. It's not really a sit-down cafe, but it is certainly well designed and welcoming.

OK, not really a restaurant. For the macarons lovers though, especially gluten-free types, this is a must go to place. Located in old Montreal, on Plateau Royal, it is great to go to in when weather is good - nice neighbourhoods to stroll thru, to get to THE place. Winter time will be tough - Montreal tends to be cold.... More

We enjoy the ambience, makarons and ice-cream. All fine, reasonably priced, absolutely worth a visit if you like makarons.

They were excellent, though some flavors a bit too sweet. Large selection of interesting flavors. They also varied in texture more than macarons typically do. That being said, they were not as expensive as I am used to for macarons (a box of 10 was $15, whereas in NYC at Laduree it's almost double this).

We were referred to Point G by a Montreal local, who told us these were the best macarons she had ever had. And she was absolutely right. It's about a 10 minute walk from the closest metro stop, and totally worth the trip. We got 20 macarons for $28 - which were packed in a plastic container and a box,... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
