Great atmosphere, nice place for a brunch with friends

It was quiet for a Sunday morning brunch. Few tables were taken. We were a group of 5, the service was excellent, the staff eager to answer our questions, and our water glass never empty. 3 of us took the shiitake omelet. I really liked it, one of us thought it was missing salt and pepper but... read more

Service was horrible and the place very loudy. The food however was quite good, though slightly overpriced for my taste!

We enjoyed a three course dinner, the third course being a bonus, on-the-house dessert the waitress brought us. We ordered the plate de la mer, consisting of marinated calamari, shrimp toast, grilled octopus with ratatouille, and halibut. My husband devoured this and claimed it was delicious. I'm not big on calamari but what I did eat was good. The shrimp... More

First, I want to mention that service there is exceptional. There were the 4 of us, it was a quiet July Sunday morning and we were not left alone by the staff. The brunch menu is interesting with non ordinary food. We had the gravlax salmon on a French toast and also the stuffed bell pepper with risotto. To my... More

Delicious eats in a fun restaurant with a vibrant, young, urban crowd. Very close to fun nightlife options as well which is a perk. Staff was very helpful, great recommendations and advice.

We were out for drinks on the Plateau for a friends birthday and someone recommended we go eat here after, not having been there before we thought why not. It was a mixed experience leaning definitely towards the positive - lively atmosphere, great big wine list with an enthusiastic resto owner willing to discuss it, professional (yet stretched to the... I've been repeatedly surprised by how reasonably priced the restaurants are in Montreal. This is no exception. The freestyle menu is a steal. At 50 CAD per person you are at the chef's pleasure which turns into a gastronomical adventure. We had oysters from different regions. An amazing charcuterie plate. Scallops in a savory lobster broth. The fish was a... More

If you know Montreal a bit, you know that the Plateau Mont-Royal neighborhood is hip, artsy and funky. This place is a typical restaurant from Montreal. A mix of cuisines, good choices of drinks and wine in a very cool vibe. We arrived with no reservation on a Friday night. Just 2 of us girls, so they placed us at... More

We went here for dinner and started with the charcuterie to share. We had the small plate but it was more than enough for the three of us. As a main we all ordered something different but we all thought it was really tasty! The waiters were also very friendly and helpful. Can definitely recommend!

Every time we come here we have such a good time with our family. We have been here with a baby and now a non stop toddler and it is so kid and family friendly. The food is great, good portions and good quebec products with a really nicely chosen menu. I haven't been in the evenings but I am... More

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
