Consistently good - one of our favorites in Old Montreal

Over the last few years we had eaten at Chez Suzette on at least two previous visits. Chez Suzette has remained consistently reliable for an enjoyable meal (we have eaten both breakfast & lunch here). On this trip we ate here twice. My wife and I for a late lunch and then again on another day... read more

Food was very nice. Service ok. Florian was a good server. Helped us out with our food sensitivity issues.

Had the crepes for lunch. Enjoyed stuffed ham and Swiss cheese topped with Quebec maple syrup. Also had the dessert crepe with Nutella. Cider with alcohol completed lunch. Would definitely return.

There is absolutely no way not to appreciate their crepes. Many creperies in Montreal was open just to mimic what they have tasted chez Suzette. So, as fasr as Suzette goes, every visit is as good as the first visit

We stopped here before the crowds on a hot day with our 4 year old to eat outside and people watch. The staff was very friendly and made our little one love her time there. We at out on the terrace and had a lovely crepes. Mine was La Special Delice and was very good and quite fair for the... More

touristy place with basic crepe with small, imported type shrimp and no atmosphere. It might be ok for family with kids to eat cheese fondue, but the crepe was poor.

Walking around old Montreal there are many places to try, but this one was special. The seafood coquille was exquisite, the soup du jour (potato) very tasty, and the spaghetti was just what the doctor ordered, (try it with the cheese, it's melted on top). We sat upstairs, although it was quite busy, our food came hot and fast. It... More

May 2015- we were looking for a quick onion soup and crepe for the three of us. Excellent choice!! We started with onion soup, which was served quickly. The soup was excellent- cheesy and very tasty. Then we discussed with our very efficient waiter, Florian, what we wanted, and he suggested various dishes. We had a great meal crepe (... More

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighborhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic center of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its center, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theater.
