Great for brunch or dinner

We stopped here twice. We really enjoyed the food and the staff was very friendly. I had the ham and brie with spinach crepe and it was excellent.

Quite nice crepes BUT the bruschetta was VERY hard (literally) to eat with bread incredibly hard and unlike any I have ever had. I'd recommend the crepes but not the starter I had.

Lunch - they have a piano player! such amazing ambiance and wonderful service. The price for the quality and amount of food was definitely worth it!

We were exploring Old Montreal and wanted to take a break for a bite and drink. We were seated upstairs and waited on by a great waitress. She was patient with our poor French and explained the menu and the drinks. The food was well-prepared, plentiful, and a great value. We stuck around for dessert and coffee and left ready... More

The only "problem" with this place is making a selection!! The sweet crepes are just as delicious as the savory crepes. There's nothing wrong with having a fruit filled crepe for dinner. If you enjoy crepes, this is a MUST place to eat!!

My friend and I came here on our first full day in Montreal and had such delicious meals that we came back here on our last full day in Montreal to end on a great meal. Obviously, you have to come and try what they are named after...their crepes, with a scoop of ice cream!! OMG, they are so good!!... More

We enjoyed a yummy crepe (too heavy on the bechamel, but we were able to scrape it aside), salad, escargots, fantastic bread and wine on a rainy afternoon in Olde Montreal. Sure it's touristy but it's good and the staff is very accommodating and nice. I would return.

We had great onion soup - cheesy and loaded with flavor, as were the escargots. However, the mushroom and chicken crepe was just ok. Quite pricey for what we got.....

We called in for brunch as we were passing, a lovely fresh BLT which was delicious. Sitting in the window with the cool breeze on a warm summers day - Recommend ++

I visited Montreal Canada recently and took a walk through old port and found a street called St Paul. It was early in the day around 10am and many of the vendors were closed, so I guess you could say I was window shopping. I passed a restaurant with a picture of French onion soup which looked very inviting, and... More

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighborhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic center of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its center, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theater.
