I brought a colleague from France with his wife. On the positive side, it is a restaurant where we could bring our own wine - so we shared a excellent champagne coming from a production of their family and a very decent Ontarian red wine. They were happy to discover a borough of Montreal that they never visited, close to... More

Everything was perfect! From the warm, friendly and accommodating owner Herman, trickling down to the attentive staff and to the delicious food. Bring your own wine restaurant. The "Borrego ao vinho do Porto" was very very good. Would highly recommend!

Visited Bitoque with another couple for dinner on Sunday evening. Large restaurant with good atmosphere. Our waiter ( Philipe?) was extremely helpful. For starter I had torta folhada, very light and tastey. Main course I had « Borrego ao vinho do Porto » Braised Lamb Shank with Port sauce, served with roasted potatoes and sauteed vegetables Beautifully presented and full... More

I went at this restaurant with some friends and we had great time. The food was very good value and well presented. The fact that the restaurant is a BYOW let you spend a little more on the food to have a better culinary experience. The owner was very convivial and he gave us a tour of the whole place... More

One of my friend wanted to go and try that new place. It is bring your own wine. The food was food, tasty and fresh. There is no ambiance thow...and the smell when you come in the restaurant is weird...the service was good, the waiter was nice and polite. The decor is old. Overall, it was ok but I don't... More

My best friend held her birthday/fundraiser party in the newly renovated cellar area of the restaurant. The space was perfect for a private dinner, turned cocktail party, turned dance party. The food was excellent and Herman (owner) and his staff were extremely accommodating. I first went to this restaurant when it first opened and visiting it years later was a... More

Reservations are essential in this little neighbourhood bistro. The place is always packed, such is its impeccable reputation. Food is great, service was friendly, efficient enhanced with a lot of humour. As an added feature, the Boss comes around to meet the patrons and ask if they like his restaurant! We started with assorted tapas - all of them excellent,... More

I hosted a surprise party there for 35 people, from the get go, I had great service from the owner Herman, he helped me out and reassured me that my party would go smoothly. All my 35 guests enjoyed themselves, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, on the night that we went it was one of the busiest nights that... More
