In 2013 and 2014 we booked this restaurant for a group of 10. We had a spectacular meal - we particularly enjoyed the creative tasting menu options. The service was wonderful and warm.

Fine cooking in this small cramped hidden site. Interesting menu from horse to lamb and goat cheese. Cauliflower soup fantastic. Mushroom ravioli a treat. A wonderful gastronomic experience. Downside is the small venue and the smell of rubber from the attached tire store. Worth a visit,

It is a very small, hole in the wall (literally between a demolished construction site and a garage shop) French restaurant. The place is small. We were lucky enough to reserve in advance and got to sit at the table at the front end of the restaurant which is almost completely private (except from the coming and going). The restaurant... The restaurant is a bit remote and hidden. The smell in the restaurant can be improved, this almost turned me off getting in. The food was very good, service excellent and you will taste dishes you are not used to taste. Very nice gastronomical experience. To the owner: improve the smell please.

With all the great restaurants in Montréal, why do I make sure to go to Grenadine every time I visit? I guess because once one finds a place one likes, it's fun to go back and discover what's new on the menu or else to indulge in a favourite dish once again. It's a bring your own wine place, which... My wife and I recently visited Grenadine after searching the web for good BYOW restaurants in Montreal. We are thrilled that we found this one. It is very cramped and is casual, but the food and service is top notch. We each had an app and entree, all of which was delicious. The stand out item was the roast quail.... More

In spite of the restaurant being busy with a large group of 20+ people in the main room, service was excellent, and our 5 course chef-choice meal absolutely fabulous.

At Grenadine you have to separate the eating experience from the dining experience. The food is outstanding, inventive, packed with flavour. The restaurant is tiny, cramped, a bit tired, and can get very loud. The atmosphere overall is good, but occasionally dinner conversation is halted if there's a boisterous group in, as there was when I last visited. A table... More

Great french bistro. It is a byob. Didn't have the best first impression as I had printed out my reservation and I think they thought I had a coupon! With that being said, once service got rolling and we had ordered, the wait staff warmed up and we had a great time. It is very small and cramped, and can... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
