A great space in a hip part of town. The kitchen is open to the dining room, which is fun to watch. Food was quite good; the octopus salad appetizer was beautiful and delicious. I would request a table in the main dining room as opposed to the ones in the bar area.

This was a great lunch selection for a business meeting - bright, sunny, and an open, garden feel in the heart of downtown Montreal. Food was great with lots of locally grown options and a lovely presentation. Will be back soon!

I've been meaning to come here for ages and couldn't find time in my schedule to go for dinner. I had lunch with a friend yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by the food & atmosphere. It's a great place to meet up since it's so bright and airy but also it's a great location if you need to meet for... More

My husband's coworker graciously took us here for dinner as guests in Montreal. It's a beautiful modern restaurant with amazing food. The burrata appetizer was a huge hit. I had the salmon tartare which was sooooo good. It's quite pricey but worth every penny, I would recommend this restaurants to couples looking for a nice nice out or for corporate/client... More

So where to start with this review! I have never been to a restaurant in this price range which promises one so much but to be left totally disappointed. We ordered the 'special menu' for the evening which consisted of scallops wrapped in bacon, the black pudding main, and the four 'element' dessert. The service started off strong. We were... More

We were referred to this place by a local and we were not disappointed! We were seated outside, on our request: it was a very pleasant summer evening. Too dark to read the menu, but we were assisted by friendly staff. Good advise on wine to pair with nice steak tartare. Lovely cranberry Bread and butter. Will recommend to go... More

I love how the chef uses local products and creates unique dishes. I love foie gras, and there are always 2 or 3 versions on the menu, so for me it's definitely one of my favorite spots. The wine list is incredible and includes private imports. I always ask to be seated in the back room, were you get more... More

We were very excited to try the food at Le Local. When we came, we were seated right next to the kitchen and waiters kept bumping into our table and didn't even acknowledge us or apologize. Our waiter took our order around 8:45 pm. Our appetizer (Foie gras terrine) was cold, tough, and the fois gras was surrounded by braised... More

This is a difficult review to sum up, but here goes. the food and recipes are excellent, do not be put off by the 'see them cook it' kitchen- they may not look like chefs, but they do turn out some impressive dishes. We had fish dishes and they were cooked to perfection , and the gazpacho starter was one... More
