Dined at this restaurant in January 2016. The ambiance is lovely. Modern decor and good music. Perfect for a date night. The hostess and server were very friendly. I came specifically for Duck Confit and was not disappointed. It was delicious. My husband had the ravioli with duck confit and that was very good as well. We ordered a cheese... More

When a restaurant needs to buy a radio promo spot on the top morning radio show, there's a problem with attendance. I was disappointed and I'll leave it at that.

This was my second time visiting Le Local, and by far my favorite restaurant in Montreal. I decided to bring guests from out of town and they had nothing but amazing things to say. Food was incredible and service was great!

Yes, it is a busy place. They have a fresh terrace that I like. Well, because we're more than 20 people celebrating such farewell party, we just had to take seat inside. Bright space, with interesting decoration. Now we talk about the foods. To be honest, I don't find it special. The waitress was nice and tried her best to... More

Was in Montreal recently for work, and a local friend had introduced me to Le Local on my last visit to Montreal, which I enjoyed very much with her. So...as I was on my own this time, I ventured there for a later dinner. As it was a Sunday night, it was not particularly busy, but yet our server somehow... More

We traveled to Montreal the end of October. Before leaving, a friend had suggested that we try this restaurant in Montreal. Le Local was fabulous!! Great atmosphere and the food was simply divine. We shared a tuna tataki appetizer - great flavors and my husband did not even notice the tofu. He had the pacific halibut for dinner and I... More

Four of us really enjoyed this place. loved the ambiance and the food was really good. service was also very good. my wife and I had three plates with the wine pairing for $75 each. ( including a nice dessert wine from Sainte-croix-du-mont in France with my dessert ) I would go back for sure.

Loved it. The food is great, the ambiance is nice, Chaplin movies playing on the wall, quite special. Went there a couple of times, with friends and in couple. The service was always very nice, and the deserts are to die for. The choice of wines is so big, but I don't drink, so can't say anything on the quality.... More

If you are in Montreal and you prefer some great food you can go to Le Local! The restaurant is cozy, good for business diners and serves some of the best prepared food in town! They have plenty of wine choices and they are happy to give some recommendations.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
