Great food and service

I went with friends from Japan. I could not afford to make a mistake because it was my 1st time there. They loved it . I suggest it strongly. Bonus: They've offered us a complimentary dish!

From the beginning to the end, I can just say, WOW! Everything was excellent! Food, service, price, everything! Thanks to the lovely Tania who serves us! And what a lovely smile you have! Your excellent service was absolutely perfect! I just can't wait to go back and try new dishes! It was a gift for my mom and she was... More

Just tried this place for the first time tonight and we were pleasantly surprised. We had the bento boxes and an assorted sushi plate. We found that the fish was fresh and the service was very friendly and helpful. The prices were reasonable as well. Although I can't vouch for any other days, we were here on a Wednesday night... I really love the sushi at this restaurant! It was fresh and tasty! The menu had a lot of options to choose from! The cod appetizer is also to die for! it was perfectly marinated and cooked! The white fish Carpaccio was okay. Although we took a lot of time to choose from the menu, the waitress was very patient... More

Living in Toronto, you see a lot of all you can eat sushi joins. It was refreshing to try out a place that has a little more style and quality. Because we know the owner, we were given a tasting menu. I'm not sure if that's on the regular menu. As with any tasting menu, they bring out the best... More

After a recent move to Mile End, I went about trying all the sushi's restaurants around. Oishii sushi is by far the best one around. It is fresh, creative, excellent quality and super tasty! Don't be thrown by the slightly funny atmosphere, the staff are a delight and the sushi is even better. I just won't go anywhere else for... More

The first thing that impressed us was the greeting at the door, very hospitable and friendly. We were seated in a quiet corner away from the rest of the tables; and found it the perfect spot to enjoy the dinner that was brought our way. From the menu we selected so many great items; our favorite was the Carpaccio of... More

We tried the restaurant on a Saturday night before taking in a movie. The sushi was average. The presentation was similar to other sushi restaurants.

Thanks to all staff for accommodating our large group due to being cancelled by another Sushi place. You helped salvage a poor start to our evening and put smiles all around. Food was excellent and I will recommend to all. Again thank you.

This is our "go-to" special occasion delivery sushi resto in Montreal. We have been ordering from them for several years and have never been disappointed. Delivery sushi can really be bad if its bad, but this place always delivers fresh and delicious. We LOVE the unagi and usually order the wonton soup for my toddler who is only starting to... More

Staying in Outremont

Neighborhood Profile
Outremont, a quaint residential district just north of Downtown, is a peaceful, low-key setting known for its mod cafes and bistros, and some of the best walking territory Montreal has to offer. Visitors can explore the flowering parks and manor estates of Maplewood Street, then window-shop the popular bakeries and coffeehouses on main arteries of Chemin de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine and Rue Van Horne. The modern granola feel is complemented by contemporary art exhibitions, rotating theater productions, and a welcoming public library. Also a nexus for the city's Hasidic Jewish culture, Outremont's diversity resounds in its cuisine and in its architecture. Visit the colorful neighborhood to take advantage of boutique shopping on Avenue Laurier, or to test the artisanal flavors of Avenue Bernard, braving a salmon burger on a squid-ink bun or accommodating your sweet tooth with a provincial chômeur pudding. A visit to Outremont is a relaxing day.
