Our bridge group (4 ladies) had our spring lunch at Vago. We all enjoyed our meals. From Pasta to Veal. Nicely presented and pleasant staff. But an expensive lunch.

This is the third time we visit Vago in Montreal. We enjoyed it every time. The food is quite frankly, very good. From the soups, to the polenta sticks entrees, and the main dishes, everything we ordered, was very tasty and savory. Our daughter chose the calamari starter and our other daughter ordered the tomato with buffalo cheese. Both were... More

Nice little restaurant. The "table d'hôte" was very good and had a good choice of entrées and main dishes. The prices were very reasonnable. I would go back. The service was very efficient and nice.

While not a gourmet experience, this restaurant always provides a consistently good meal. My fave dishes include the grilled veal chop, veal Parmesan - not actually on the menu but the chef will make if for you, and the pasta marinara. The seafood is always of an excellent quality and portions are generous. Tomasso has an infectious laugh that can't be... More

First visit with new menu. Enjoyed it. Veal thinly sliced and especially tender with wonderful mushroom sauce. Oyster trio starter interesting and tasty. Beet and spinach salad tasty. Wait staff very attentive. Espresso was the best I have had in a long while.

Nice place in a good neighborhood, greeted at the door, offered a few seating options. Waiters and bus very attentive. Great wine selection that is not 20 pages long. Waiter selected a glass of red for me and it was a home run. The Cesar Salad was very good and the Butternut Squash Risitto was outstanding. At first, menu prices... More

This was the 3rd time to Vago. The location is excellent (on trendy Greene Avenue) and atmosphere is very nice. But, this time the food was a bit disappointing. It was very competent in every regard but it was entirely uninspiring and eminently forgettable. Thats troubling because I do remember the first 2 meals I had lunch there. My appetizer... More

This used to be a wonderful restaurant. But the menu has recently changed and the cuisine, although standard Italian fare, is unimaginitive and uninspiring. The new menu has eliminated some of the old favorites, and has less choice. Worse still is the service. It took more than 25 minutes from the time our appetizer plates were cleared and when we... Customers are a little obnoxious and the waiters help them with a lot of chatter.food is typical ,well prepared. Best cheesecake for included desert..it was better than the meal, which was not hot enough.liguini in a wide bowl gets cold fast and is then tasteless to me.great parking in mid week at night. Enjoyed the experience and will be back.

We had a delicious meal. Portions are a little on the small side but filling. Wait staff is nice and knowledgable. Mixture of out-for-dinner folks with a few drunks later in the evening. Expensive. They charged us $6.00 for their "special" water. We were not told we would be charged for water.
