A must-stop for lunch when in Vieux-Montreal. The wait (20 minutes at 1:30 pm on a frigid, cold weekday) was not a problem at all. Great place to see and be seen by the hipster crowd of Montreal. Pastries here look really good and wide range of hot and cold sandwiches to choose from. Portions very generous and coffee was great. Why bother with Starbucks ?

We stumble upon this Gem, on one extremely cold winter morning, not familiar with the area, we were looking for a place for breakfast not many of the shops our restaurants were opened yet. When we saw the crowd and energy inside the restaurant we knew that this was the right place for us! Although the restaurant was crowded to... More

Coffee is always excellent! I tried almost all of their sandwiches, but so far my favourite remains the "poached egg". ...I always take out their chocolate brioche! It's insanely good!!

With a 9.4 rating on FourSquare, we had been planning on trying this place out for sometime. It took a sunny winter day in Feb, 2015 for us to finally venture into this part of the neighborhood. Old port is one of the coolest places in NorthAmerica (yes that's what I said, in NorthAmerica :D ), however, we were thoroughly... More

Was only in Montreal overnight, popped in here for tea and cake after checking in to our hotel nearby and enjoyed it so much we ended up coming back for breakfast the next morning. Busy but not overcrowded and with minimal waiting times for seats or service, drinks and snacks were top quality and the breakfast (pastries and fruity granola)... More

This place hums. You can see it works like a well-oiled machine, serving tasty well-prepared food to those smart enough to walk through their doors. A great selection of food is set off by some great drink choices. Don't let the appearance of a crowd put you off. Go eat there, you won't regret it.

We waited maybe 45 minutes but there are some cute shops in the area that you can frequent. The food here was outstanding - we got the Reuben which was made with Schwartz's smoked meat, so we were happy to kill 2 birds with one stone. We also got the Housemade Ricotta "salty" which was a killer. The coffees and... More

I went today whit my wife after becoming Canadian citizens !!! It was full, and people waiting too. We end up getting a cappuccino and some pastries to go. Everything was excellent , and I'm a pastry chef , so I know.
