Get the Cuban!

Only the best sandwich I've ever had! Yes, you'll wait a while but it's well worth the wait (as we were told by another customer leaving while we waited). Served hot and loaded with amazing flavour, it definitely leaves you wishing there was more. We'll be back, great little spot.

I came to Olive et Gourmando on my first day in Montreal after reading reviews online. I was by myself and got a seat straight away at about 2pm on a Wednesday. I decided to sample a bit of everything and went with the homemade cauliflower soup, croissant au fromage and a mocha. Everything was amazing - the best soup,... More

Wonderful tea selection, good coffee and fabulous pastries made this place worthwhile. Unfortunately, the waitress was impatient and let us know that she was when our group of 5 wasn't quite ready to order. It was a bit awkward but maybe this is typical for service in Montreal.

Our hotel was on the same street as this trendy foody place to eat so we happened upon it by chance. I peered inside through the windows and once we were back to the hotel I "googled" it. It immediately became our next day's lunch stop! Unfortunately, you can't make a reservation. You just have to show up, give your... More

used this as a lunch stop while in Montreal for a few days. Great pannini's and soups. If in the area make sure you stop in.

Yes, it's crowded. Yes, it's a bit pricey for lunch. BUT so worth it. Had soup that was the best I ever had...so many different ingredients blended to a delicious science. Bread and sandwiches are fresh and fantastic. I saw some sort of ricotta cheese spread at a neighboring table that will be on mine on my next visit. If... More

My gf and I go for our gastronomical adventures every year ave Olive et Gourmand is A MUST go to put stop every time. The food is impeccable, well prepared and WORTH the wait. Lunch is fresh & flavorful with changing 1 page menu of soup, sandwiches, killer salad and warm mains. Regardless of what you get it will be... More

I've live in Montreal for several years now and have found few spot that can compare for bistro style lunch! Pros: 100% do yourself a huge favour and order whatever soup of the day is bring served-- every time I go I'm delightfully impressed with something unique and exceptionally flavourful. Their take-out options look great, though I'm always too full... More

A must-stop for lunch when in Vieux-Montreal. The wait (20 minutes at 1:30 pm on a frigid, cold weekday) was not a problem at all. Great place to see and be seen by the hipster crowd of Montreal. I am still dreaming about the Mac and Cheese, created with a truffle tapenade, caramelized onions and mushrooms, many kinds of cheeses,... More

Pastries here look really good and wide range of hot and cold sandwiches to choose from. Portions very generous and coffee was great. Why bother with Starbucks ?
