My boyfriend and I were here in June this year. The restaurant itself is fairly nice, but seating felt very crowded. I could hear everyone's conversations from every direction and we had to shout at each other to hear. It couldn't hurt to take out a few seats so people can have actual dinner conversation. Their lightning on the walls... More

L'Aromate is a pleasant and convenient city centre restaurant. The service is VG and staff pleasant BUT the restaurant has usurious water pricing. They most likely buy a bottle of San Pellegrino for $0.80- 0.90; however, they are pleased to charge you $9.00 for the enjoyment of a bottle at your table. In other words do not get conned into... service was slow, and staff apologized for this. The waiter clearly had a bad cold, which made us somewhat uncomfortable

Because of its location and my tight schedule, I ate here TWICE in one day! And I didn't mind at all :) At lunch I had bavette and it was delicious. Served with mini squash and FIDDLEHEADS! *happydance*, and perfect frites :) At dinner I had beet poached salmon with little beet chips, roasted beets, perhaps a beet and something... More

This restaurant serves good French food. The portions are big enough. We had a voucher. It wasn't that busy on a Saturday (1pm). We had the duck grilled cheese and eggs Benedict . It was good. They don't serve your typical breakfast. Nice decor and atmosphere with nice chairs.

This was a treat of a spot for us to dine for two breakfasts and one dinner in association with a stay at Le St Martin Hotel. What a symbiotic relationship...please know that it made a huge difference in our impression of our stay. It is a wonderful thing to be able to dine at a clean, well serviced establishment... More

The concierge at our hotel recommended L'Aromate as a great spot for lunch - we weren't disappointed! Lunch is served Table D'Hote style - an appetizer and main course for the price of the entree. The menu has a decent selection - six appetizers and twelve entrees. I ordered the Charcuterie de la Maison which changes daily. My version was... More

I ordered a vegetarian dish that the chef prepared for me (quinoa with vegetables) and agreed to pay 30$ for it thinking it's gonna be excellent. It was very bland, and worst it actually had a pickled vegetable that tasted bitter therefore ruined the overall taste of the dish, it was horrible! Even when I nicely expressed my discontent with...
