The positives are excellent, tasty food. I was there with a very large group and all seems to really enjoy the choices available to us. My favorite was the tartar appetizer. The wine choices were excellent as well. The two servers assigned to our two large tables were also extremely good. They were energetic, attentive to drink and utensil needs... More

Absolutely terrible. The bread served with breakfast was beyond dry and unedible, we found cut up plastic wrapper in our salad, we had to wait 40 minutes for... eggs, and our pasta dinner was unedible (undercooked pasta and cream sauce that was bland and as clear as water). Complete and utter disappointment. Literally a stain on the hotel in which... More

I will not waste time and effort in a long review. My opinion from recent experience is simple: bad/bland food, and bad inefficient service, in fact downright discourteous, even disrespectful. A very unpleasant moment altogether, not worth the time and money you might spend there.

Convenient to the hotel where we stayed, this downtown restaurant offers both inside and outside dining. The first time we ate there, it was windy, so we moved inside. We had a delightful eggs benedict with the best potatoes ever. Lunch was so good, we returned for another meal. This time we were able to sit outside, sip our wine,... More

We chose to dine here because of its convenient location after a concert. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, but we could not resist sitting on the terrasse on a lovely summer night. After all, our winters in Montreal are long and brutal, so sitting outdoors is such a treat, especially on a quiet evening with little traffic (you're almost... More

My boyfriend and I were here in June this year. The restaurant itself is fairly nice, but seating felt very crowded. I could hear everyone's conversations from every direction and we had to shout at each other to hear. It couldn't hurt to take out a few seats so people can have actual dinner conversation. Their lightning on the walls... More

L'Aromate is a pleasant and convenient city centre restaurant. The service is VG and staff pleasant BUT the restaurant has usurious water pricing. They most likely buy a bottle of San Pellegrino for $0.80- 0.90; however, they are pleased to charge you $9.00 for the enjoyment of a bottle at your table. In other words do not get conned into... service was slow, and staff apologized for this. The waiter clearly had a bad cold, which made us somewhat uncomfortable
