Went there with my wife and friends for our anniversary. Sat in the outdoor terrace which is beautiful. The place to be on a summer night. We had an authentic Italian meal which was very tasty and delicious. The presentation was also very nice. The service is exceptional with friendly staff. Overall I highly recommend it for those special occasions.

Before you make a reservation at Amato, be warned, it is expensive! But is it worth it? Yes, every penny. I dined here with my family for my birthday. Exceptional evening on many fronts. First, the Caesar salad is, according to my son who is Caesar fan, by far the best he has ever eaten. It is prepared right at... More

Real Italian food with waiters speaking Italian, classy furniture, cozy ambiance, tasty fancy food...and delicious Italian deserts. It has never let me down so far!

If you want a special treat and love perfectly prepared Italian cuisine, visit Amato. Fresh pasta and risotto are cooked and sauced to perfection. Veal dishes are superb. Want a REAL Cesar salad? Expensive but worth every Loony! Not many restaurants create one at table side and this one is special. I've been going to Amato and La Negroni -... More

Definitely one of the best table in Old Ste. Rose, Laval. If you like Italian food, this is THE place to go. The staff is polite, professional and welcoming. They have a nice outdoor terrace with lots of flower and vegetation. You have to try the Cesar salad (for 2), they make the dressing fresh, at your table. From fresh... More

We discovered this gem, the previous evening while taking a walk in the Old Ste-Rose district of Laval. We entered the restaurant for dessert and coffee. The waiter was most courteous, said they don't usually take walk ins strictly for dessert, because they usually reserve for the full course. But never the less, he accommodated us. My girlfriend and I... More
