Went for lunch during the week. Had reasearched the location thru the internet. We were looking for an italian reastaurant close to my wife's brother and sister in law 's house. Its hard to say from the outside but the interior is very pleasant. It has a nice atmosphere. The service was efficent and friendly. The food was very good... More

The salad was so full of vinegar, couldn't eat it at all. The steak had nothing but fat on it. The baked potato was ok. The bread was a little hard. And dessert was ok. Wouldn't go back personally but I have friends who say they love it.

Not my first time at this restaurant. For starters we had a plate of prosciutto melone with a slice of salami, Friulano cheese and a piece of treccia (cheese) all succulent. It was accompanied with grilled vegetables, all good but little disappointed with the sundried tomatoes. It was followed with fried calamari, very tasty indeed. Then came a small plate... More

We have been to this restaurant many times. The service is always excellent and the food sublime. Very few restaurants can do Italian and seafood just like mamma. It is authentic and friendly. They are excellent for large groups as well. My kids willingly eat Italian food here claiming other places do not compare to home made. I agree. The... More

Meh. Service was rather slow and the place was not that busy. Food was average. It was not offensive but average. The decor needs an update.

We had the calamare as an entree...cooked just right, the batter was just right. As a main we had the coquille st-jacques and linguini vongole, white sauce...also quite good. Prices are fair and the service was also very efficient.

I have been to Le Pirate de Laval numerous times for family occasions, parties and romantic dinners with my husband. I don't know where to start....the staff is extemely friendly, the food is always fresh and FANTASTIC. Especially their veal chop. It's always cooked to perfection and oh so juicy. L'assiette du pêcheur is a must as well, with all... More

Been at Le Pirate several times the food is always fresh & staff polite. The fried calamar is the best in town & the veal is so tender you can cut it with a fork.

This was a wonderful experience! The service was great, the atmosphere was like something out of a novel or a movie. We could have been having dinner on a real boat. It was a quiet peaceful setting. My partner enjoyed himself as well, he is a chef himself, and he found the food impeccable. It was a very romantic personal... More
