The quintessential Quebecker experience. This certainly isn't fine dining - not to say that Quebec doesn't offer that - but it's just a place that everyone can enjoy. It's simple, inexpensive, and delicious. It's not food that's been elevated to gourmet heights, or somewhere for special occasions, but it's somewhere to go with friends and just enjoy simplicity. I don't... More

They are known for their poutines. It's actually one of the first place specializing in poutines to open in Hull/Gatineau. They've been around for what 25 years, maybe longer? They do poutines right by layering the ingredients properly. Fries, curds, gravy, then more fries, curds and gravy so you don't end up eating poutine on the top and just fries... More

Seriously, I've tried this place several times over the years. Every time I say to myself, it will be better this time. It can't possibly that bad again? The fries have so much potential being deep fried in peanut oil. But they precook so much ahead of time, then toss them back in the oil over and over and over.... More

The best poutine in Ottawa. The fries are double fried and the gravy is tasty. The all dressed steamers are always a nice addition.

My fav poutine, but the cheese seemed less pleasing on my last visit. Maybe I'm eating too much poutine. Good value.

Good poutine. Sauce and cheese are good. Home made fries. Probably the best place in Gatineau for poutine. Parking is limited. Will go back during my next trip to Gatineau.

If you want poutine, go here. If you're visiting Ottawa and want to enjoy this Canadian classic, take a trip across the river and go here. Potatoes are fresh cut in the kitchen, then fried twice, covered with delicious, fresh (squeak-on-your-teeth) curds and rich gravy. Sure, you can have poutine served to you in a fancy bowl at a restaurant,... More

This poutine place is the best in the region ! Homemade fries , lots of cheese curds ( fresh and squeaky ) , and nice thick brown poutine sauce.. So yummy !! I've been going to this place for years now and let me assure you, no other poutine place beats this one. They also provide white sauce or Italian... More

I feel very protective of this place because it's been in my neighborhood for years. The poutine is AWESOME here! I don't know why people whine about the fries so much...they're good!

I grew up in Montreal and in my book this place is the gold standard of greasy spoon restaurants. If you want crispy fries, go to McDonald's - if you want the best Steamie and fries/poutine that you'll find anywere, this is the place for you. If you don't know what an All Dressed Steamie is, you've lived a very... More
