Great atmosphere and the best bartenders in town!

I can't say enough positive things about Hunter's Ale House! They have made me feel welcome for the past three years every time that I've visited Charlottetown on business. I'd recommend the Seafood Chowder, get the cup if you're regular hungry, and get the bowl if you want to stuff your self!

Its a small cozy place to gather and have a drink and appetizers with friends. Staff is very friendly, food is good pub fare. Nice spot to watch curling and other sports now that we no longer have cable tv.

We went here for lunch when we were in Charlottetown. It was recommended by a local shop owner. I had the salad bar and a wrap which was very good. My partner had a burger and fries. Ample servings and good service.

Nachos are pretty much nachos unless you have them at Hunter's Ale House. They load them with lots of cheese. Their Barking Squirrel Beer is pretty great too. The servers are prompt & friendly . The atmosphere is neighborhood pub . I go there every time I visit Charlottetown. Try it yourself . I hope you feel at home there... More

The outside drew me in and so glad it did. We stopped for some lunch and a few local beers after touring the area. We had some local beer and wine which was great. The menu is extensive but when I saw Poutine on the menu I had to have it. We spit the shredded beef Poutine and the portion... More

LOBSTER CHOWDER that should say it all. By the "cup" is a full meal and they are proud of its quality and size. Now add a full lunch crowd of local and you know "this is the place". Chowder was fantastic. Eat at the bar if you can the servers are very friendly. Steve owns 2 of the other best... More

Loved the food here. Loved the pulled pork poutine and had a green salad with it. We split the salad and the waitress had no problem providing us with 2 salads, one without tomatoes and one without onions. 3 different staff stopped by the table to make sure we were enjoying our dinner. The service was exceptional!

We enjoyed a nice lunch with very good food. I like the atmosphere of Hunter's. Our server gave us good service and our food came steaming hot. I've ate there before and they have delicious seafood chowder, but this time I order the fish and chips on others recommendations. I've ate there several times when I visit the Island and... More
