Great food and atmosphere with friendly staff.

We, like many others wanted to try the claddagh oyster bar and had reservations for 5pm when they open. We stood there like fools past 5 and the door was still locked, so we joined the many happy people going upstairs to the Olde Dublin Pub. Immediately, we were happy we did. Went there by chance and had a most enjoyable evening. The food was great pub food shepherd's pie very good, great seafood chowder and oyster special each afternoon was delicious. Servers very efficient and very helpful. Carried husband's walker up each time. Evening entertainment was lots of fun as the group, Guiness, not only entertained us, but also got audience... More

Great atmosphere and the music was terrific. The food was ok. The wait staff were not the friendliest in the world. Not sure if I saw any of them smile and we were there twice. Ok for a quick bite.

Newton nachos are incredible here. They are easily my favourite on the island. The price is great - the nachos are huge! If you can't handle a huge plate, you can ask for a half order! Yum! Great atmosphere & every night there is great music. If you want to sit down and talk over food, I wouldn't recommend coming... More

Beautifully finished pub in downtown Charlottetown. $1 oysters were great. Lobster poutine. Selection of local craft beers.

I visited Charlottetown, PEI for a couple of weeks to work on a project. The first night we ventured out to the downtown area. We were quite hungry after travelling, going to our worksite and settling down in our hotels. We found Olde Dublin Pub. It was just what we were looking for. Our server was quick and friendly. Added... More

I went here on a whim, not knowing the reviews. It was a rainy evening and pub food was exactly what I wanted. I ordered oysters to start - no complaints. I also ordered the Tuesday special - 5 oz bacon wrapped steak, which came with a MOUNTAIN of garlic mashed and some steamed carrots. It was delicious. If you... More

Had to climb four flights of stairs to get to those $1 oyster special between 4-6 pm. Wife was handicapped so that was no easy task. It was well worth the climb. Staff was friendly and kind. Oysters were great. We had an oyster for every step in the stair case. Jack and coke went down nicely as well.

I am never one to write one of these , but I have to. First we went through the door up the stairs and walked into what we thought was the pub, but it was not the right restaurant. The Olde Dublin Pub was up one more floor. They had a deal for two can dine for $25.00 on Wednesday.... More

This Irish pub was just what we needed.. Great selection of beers, good food and nice people. The beef pastie was really good, filled with lots of meat and vegi's and not too thick a crust. Our server, who was very friendly, helped us find a couple of spots to shop and see on the visitors map.
