Best Fries!!

We asked around where we could get a good fish and chip dinner and Captain Scott's was recommended to us. Was really good, but found to be too much batter on the fish, but the time we got to the second piece of fish, we both took the batter off the fish. The fries were excellent though... read more

I agree with other reviewers that the fresh fries are good. Bearing in mind that it is English style fish and chips I found there was more batter than fish. My grandaughter had the cheese burger and said she found the meat quite dry. You have your choice of toppings for your burger from a condiments bar which is excellent.... More

We stopped in for lunch and ordered the jumbo hot dogs. They were accompanied by a generous portion of perhaps the best French fries we've ever had. Fresh PEI potatoes, not greasy, little salt. Fantastic! This restaurant is only open during the tourist season and we were told they close in mid-September, so keep that in mind when travelling in... More

I visited their restaurant in Cavendish and they have fresh fries which is rare in PEI. Most places have frozen fries. The 2 pieces of fish I had were too much for one person for lunch but took the second piece home and had it next day. Love this place and wanted to go back for second meal but didn't... More

This was the first restaurant we tried for fish and chips and we tried a few(2 in P.E.I and 2 in Shediac N.B). I have to say that I loved this one the most! The fish were large pieces not fish stick size like most of the others and it had that yummy crunchy beer batter taste. Yes it's greasy... More

We decided to eat at Captain Scott's instead of the Subway next door. It was disappointing. My $14 lobster roll had very little lobster in it. The fries were over-cooked. My wife's shrimp were mostly breading. This felt a lot like Long John Silver's chain. I would not go back.

stop in for lunch while I was in Cavendish. I had the fish and chips and sat out on the deck on a lovely sunny day. the fish was delicious, and the fries were hand cut p.e.i. potatoes. the price was more then reasonable and the servings were large. some of the best fish I had in a while.
