Being a Brit I had to go here as soon as I saw the shop. It's been hard to find 'real' fish & chips as I no longer live in the UK. The meal was nothing special and it's key is the newspaper it is wrapped in. I also ordered mushy peas thinking they would actually be mushy however they... More

You really don't need to read any further than the title. Lobster. Poutine. Together at last. If you're one of those people who don't like gravy on fries and therefore dislike poutine, more good news: it's a cream-sauce poutine, not brown-gravy that you would have seen before. I sat down expecting the standard brown-gravy and was a little surprised with... More

That's right, just like they do it "across the pond" in the UK...fish and chips served on newspaper (especially made for serving, I am sure). I do not "do" seafood and PEI, being an island, is famous for it's seafood which makes it a little challenging for me. We had read the many menus posted outside the various restaurants (a... More

Great service!! The food was very tasty and the fish and chip portions were huge. If you aren't a big eater, stick with just one piece of fish. I had lobster poutine and it was delicious. Tried something different for dessert - deep fried mars bar and deep fried cheese cake - unusual but fun to eat. I'd definitely go... More

We ate at Brit's Fish & Chips on the recommendation of a friend. The options were excellent. The salad was amazing and the serving of pan fried haddock was huge and delicious. We were very impressed with this restaurant and would definitely return. The servers were terrific ... great suggestions, very friendly, and accurate in describing the meals and the... More

We ended up eating here twice (different dishes). The Fish and Chips seemed pretty authentic to me (I grew up in Great Britain so should be a reasonable critic). Service was good and the quality good. Price was better at "Skip's" in Summerside.

Garth is from England. We HAD to try Brits before we left PEI. He found a funky, English-style pub decor with decent service. He also found (in his words) the most "authentic" taste of home in fish & chips this side of the Atlantic! The price was not too steep (but still more than Skip's in Summerside) and the portion... We were going to have dinner at an upscale fish restaurant but decided to eat at Brits Fish and Chips and save a bit of money. It's an interesting place and the food is pretty good. It's not the best fish and chips I've had but it was quite good. What I liked about this place is that they offer... More

The fries were old (not freshly cooked) and the fish was slimy inside. This is not how it should be. The staff was friendly.

The fish and chips that they are renown for were delicious! They also have a gluten-free fish and chips, which was great for the person I was with. Great place to eat! Though with no air conditioning, was a hot place on a hot day (though they came along with the ice water frequently :) )
