I was so pleased to have homemade Gnocchi like my nona did!!! Very Italian and very THRUE to real Italian cuisine . Atmosphere is very intimate, service is great. Prices are a bit high, but you go to Nico's for special occasions anyway :)

Windsor is very fortunate to have some of the best Italian restaurants west of Woodbridge clustered along Erie Street in what is locally known as Little Italy. Currently, the top three rated restaurants on TripAdvisor for Windsor are all located on three short blocks of Erie Street. Foodies that we are, the bride and I set out to sample the... More

Went to Nico's for my 14th anniversary tonight. John took our reservation and gave us a window seat. We have been here several times before but this was even better than we expected. We no longer order from the menu. We just ask for the chef to make us what ever he thinks. Tonight we had an amazing antipasta plate... More

Calamari was bitter and I had to force myself to finish it. The olive oil to dip bread in tasted like turpentine. 4 of the 5 of us had the seafood grill specialty. We all were disappointed. Over cooked, no flavor and the rissoto was terrible. Came out of there 75 lighter. We all agreed we should have gone to... More

Immediately on looking at the menu I had no idea what to order. It was between the two seafood specials and a four-hour braised lamp shank. It didn't help that our server kept bringing plates of amazing food by our table and showing to us to "help" us make a decision. Everything looked amazing! Decided to get the special in... More

Nico's homemade gnocchi is great! We had it served with two different sauces: quattro formaggi/four cheese cream sauce (good) and quattro funghi/four mushroom blush sauce (even better as it was more unique & totally tasty!) Our server, Johnny, was friendly & attentive. Hope to return next time we're in Windsor.

This is, to the best of my knowledge, the third Italian restaurant to occupy these premises. The first two were so successful, they moved to larger quarters. When they did, they lost the friendly, neighbourhood atmosphere of this small but quaint eatery. I had been to the other two restaurants many times, but for some unexplained reason, I had never... I always forget that living in Windsor, I forget how spoiled we are with the amazing restaurants on Erie Street. And then I go to Nico and I am grateful that a small city can offer so much amazing food. Nico is definately a wonderful dining experience. The food is delicious, top notch, fresh ingredients. We both usually get the... More

We recently were in Windsor catching a show at the casino - of course since casino food is notoriously overpriced and not delicious we decided to eat elsewhere. Found this restaurant via Trip Advisor and could not have been happier! The food and drinks were absolutely delicious. Everything is fresh and homemade and delicious...even the bread is made in house!... More

We decided to stay in Windsor while visiting family in Michigan for the 4th of July weekend. This restaurant was chosen due to the many good reviews. We arrived around 8:30 and it was quite busy for a Thursday. We were seated and it only got better. The service was great, the atmosphere is intimate and easy to carry on... More
