This is, to the best of my knowledge, the third Italian restaurant to occupy these premises. The first two were so successful, they moved to larger quarters. When they did, they lost the friendly, neighbourhood atmosphere of this small but quaint eatery. I had been to the other two restaurants many times, but for some unexplained reason, I had never... I always forget that living in Windsor, I forget how spoiled we are with the amazing restaurants on Erie Street. And then I go to Nico and I am grateful that a small city can offer so much amazing food. Nico is definately a wonderful dining experience. The food is delicious, top notch, fresh ingredients. We both usually get the... More

We recently were in Windsor catching a show at the casino - of course since casino food is notoriously overpriced and not delicious we decided to eat elsewhere. Found this restaurant via Trip Advisor and could not have been happier! The food and drinks were absolutely delicious. Everything is fresh and homemade and delicious...even the bread is made in house!... More

We decided to stay in Windsor while visiting family in Michigan for the 4th of July weekend. This restaurant was chosen due to the many good reviews. We arrived around 8:30 and it was quite busy for a Thursday. We were seated and it only got better. The service was great, the atmosphere is intimate and easy to carry on... More

Best Italian food I've eaten outside of Italy. We will definitely return again. I highly recommend Nico to anyone looking for a delicious Italian meal.

A small, intimate restaurant with excellent food and home made pasta. I had artic char with a parmesan cream sauce over home made noodles that was excellent. Caprese salad was one of the best I've had (hard to make this dish unique). The lamb shank looked excellent from what I saw at the table next to ours. This is not... More

We have visited this restaurant many times over the years and have enjoyed each experience. The restaurant is small and european quaint. The service is exceptional and the food is consistently excellent. A wonderful dining experience each and every time.

A quaint place. I was blown away when I found out that Nico himself was in the cucina! I had the osso buco and my husband had the gnocchi. Being of Italian descent I am VERY picky when eating at Italian restaurants. It was to die for. Next time in Windsor I am going back there for sure!!

No idea why I never tried this place before. I guess I got tired of overpriced pasta on Erie st all these years. This place stands above the rest easily. The menu is diverse and exciting. I had a daily special consisting of a salmon duo, my wife had stuffed chicken. We opened with the anitpasta. Just all around great... More

We have lived in Windsor area for many years and for some reason or another never had the privilege of dining at Nico. Had our 45th Anniversary to celebrate so went on Trip Advisor for #1 restaurant in Windsor. We must agree the food was superb. Started with Grilled Calamari and Squid. Came with basket of very fresh delicious bread.... More
