This was an evening to celebrate our Anniversary and it was awesome from the moment we walked in the door! It's very cozy and romantic with a warm ambiance. The service is impeccable. The food is amazing right from the start, the bread is seasoned and served warm, the salad was fresh and cold with a homemade dressing that is... More

Went with family for diner. Surprise was that it is in basement with low ceiling. No windows. Place was full and staff was very busy. I did not like how it looks. But... salad was very good. Two meals were excellent: trout and "Strog.?" forgot exact name beef, mushrooms... cost. 21.85

This place is all about atmosphere combined with good food and attentive service minus any pretentiousness. Take all the time you need to enjoy your meal and company... no one rushes you. Their salad is wonderful. Pasta dishes were a hit. The chicken platter is literally an entire grilled chicken with a pasta side. No one was able to eat... More

I took my girlfriend here last night to celebrate her graduation. I had heard about this place for years, but had never had a chance to experience it for myself until now. I am very glad we gave it a try. The Cook Shop is in Downtown Windsor, south of Wyandotte.. which sets it apart from the majority of the... More

I wanted the Mushroom platter and waiter said if it that was all I was ordering it would be $7.50 more, he said it would be my entree? No where did it say it should cost more than $8.95. So I had the lasagna, not great, had tortellini inside layers of over cooked pasta. The salad dressing on the huge... More

Restaurant is located in the basement-level with 2 entrances off Ouellette. Very quaint & intimate setting with low-lighting and candles at each table. Our waiter Eddie was the best -- informative, attentive, yet not hovering over you with every move. Loved the warm garlic bread which I couldn't stop eating. The Caesar salad was the best I've ever had --... More

I had heard great things about this place. First of all, the decor is quite tired... The place could do with a coat of paint. I ordered the mussels (could not finish them). I always order desert .... I was with two friends... We all ordered desert and I wouldn't recommend one of them. My friend had great fettuccini Alfredo... More
