A very pleasant surprise. Not just pub grub .....but a few surprises. Check it out to see and experience for yourself.

I was looking for a venue for a party of about 30 people, so I came in to scout Shakey's. It was half-full, small tables and all seats full at the bar. The service at my table was quick & friendly with ready explanations about the drinks, snack & dinner menus. Shakey's was originally owned by NHL star hockey player... More

We had a delicious lunch recently on a gorgeous sunny day. We both heartily recommend the club sandwich, which is served on a soft roll. What an improvement over those tall triangular toothpick-skewered bits from my childhood! Bloor Street is for strolling and shopping. And lunch!

Last night I had Chris's Maple Ribs! They were just wonderful. I don't think you could get better ribs in all of Toronto.

best hamburger around...they use organic beef from rowe farms and cook it the way you want...soups are made on site and great care is taken in their process....you must also try the wings and sweet potato fries....

Excellent food and attentive service in a small sports pub - a new favorite in Bloor West. Burgers are cooked as much (or little) as you want and taste great, fish and chips special is equally good.

I know Burger's are all the rage see days. I can honestly say I have never had a better one than at Shakey's. This is due in large part to the fact that you can order it cooked the way you like and I like my burgers rare. I have been several times and the salads and fries are great... More

this is a sports bar that serves wonderful food-all local. the soups seem to be creamy but have no cream or dairy product added-just mixed to a creamy texture. their hamburgers are made from beef that has been freshly ground in a cooled room that allows it to be served rare or medium with no fear of contamination.

This place has amazing food and is much more pleasant to be in since its recent renovation. It is still a sports bar but we don't mind because the quality of the food is in a league of its own. The food is high quality gastro-pub in a hockey/sorts bar setting. This is a favourite place that we return to... More
