...that great, personable, welcoming service and good food will keep you coming back. Many, many other Toronto restaurants can't seem to figure it out. The food here is outstanding and the service some of the best I have experienced all over the world. The owner facilitates a warm welcoming environment that is infectious that makes you want to talk to... More

Haven't tried anything else on the menu but the apple cake is to die for. I order slabs of these every year around Christmas for friends and family. I can only imagine that the rest of their pastry selections are equally as tasty. Worth a visit if you're in town.

A small cafe, mainly take away, but with some seating this place is a hub of activity. We were over for a conference and needed somewhere for a quick coffee, so we looked around our hotel and saw this place. Its promise of the world's best apple cake drew us in. We werent disappointed. Great food, the apple cake IS... More

While visiting an office in the area a business associate volunteered to show me a unique local café and asked if I liked Lebanese style food. Yes, it is a favorite. We walked up Jarvis St after a short streetcar ride and walked into this small establishment. The gentleman behind the counter welcomed us and I ordered lentil soup and... More

This afternoon a colleague of mine brought in Mystic Muffin's famous apple cake for the office, omg it was one of the best things I've ever tasted so I immediately called to see if they had any left as I wanted to bring a slab home to enjoy over the weekend. The owner answered and was so lovely, had I... More

This place was such a treat we went twice in our 5 day visit. Elias is full of friendly wisdom and a love of giving happiness through his tasty food to his customers. We will remember always.

Elias is a gem. Not a full-service restaurant, but breakfast or lunch in your hand or on the go, it can't be beat. (He has a few tables of course). Today, Friday, lentils and rice special, on a pita: wonderful. Elias is in love with life, and that is contagious!

You would almost miss this place if you didn't know about it. So delicious. I have been looking at Mystic Muffin on TA for a few weeks now, and finally went today to check it out. As the owner said, "You haven't really been to Toronto until you've eaten at Mystic Muffin!" The name makes it sound like something it... More

Mystic Muffin is a modest cafe that has grown a cult following (people wear their t-shirts and take pictures all over the world). The owner is definitely the highlight of the experience, engaging every customer as if they were the only person in the store. We had the apple cake (delicious crust) and the falafel and hummus wrap which were... More

Tasty food, charming space, great prices and the most fun and genuine proprietor I ever encountered. I didn't want to leave! We had falafel sandwiches and spicy fries. I bought the whole apple cake. It made it to Pennsylvania intact, but was quickly devoured shortly after arriving back home. Thanks Elias!
