Good persian food

This is a small family run business where you expect to get quality Persian cusine. I visited it three times in 4 days including taking my American friends for dinner one night. Just had lunch here. Food and service was great. The atmosphere is quiet and laid back. No loud music. We tried a variety of things and all was great!

Delicious food in an attractive restaurant with excellent service. Prices are quite reasonable and so are portions.

$18.00 for a steamed lamb shank, no seasoning and white rice with beans!! Lamb is a meat that needs slow cooking with seasoning and spices...slow cooked not steamed. It was tender but oh so bland...and the rice was awful. Nice small family restaurant, fairly friendly but in desperate need of a good chef....I would definitely not recommend this restaraunt.

Beautifully decorated with a Persian theme, this place is a little gem. Its nicely located on Yonge St not far from Eaton Mall. They offers a range of traditional Persian cuisine and the staff are really nice and friendly. As for the prices they are reasonable. Happy Travellers :)

I've eaten at Darvish a few times while visiting Toronto and really love their mixed platter, skewers, and soup. The food is delicious and I go out of my way to eat it as slowly as I can to savor the taste. It's a small but cozy location and well decorated atmosphere. The waitress is also very helpful when I'm... More

we came across this place when walking on Yonge street. The food was okay but overpriced given the little portions. the staff were friendly but we can't consider this as a satisfactory experience.

Discovered this place while walking and had dinner there on our third night in Toronto. My exposure to Persian cuisine is limited to one previous experience and recipes I have read. My adventorous husband and I decided to give a try and we are glad we did. The owner was amiable and patient, the atmosphere relaxed as is the service.... More

The owners were very kind! We really enjoyed our visit and the food is wonderful! You could tell everything was homemade. We ended up eating here due to other Tripadvisor comments and because we were looking for something "different". You won't be disappointed!

A nice spot in crazy Yonge St. Food is delish and service is lovely. Not a fancy spot but relaxed, reasonable and a little bit exotic. I loved it.

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
