Great beer, average food

They had a great beer selection and their seasonal brew were great especially the Ginger Ale and Stargazer. The food didn't knock my socks off but it was good. The service was pretty good considering how busy it was. Waitstaff was most attentive considering. The price was a bit inflated for what... read more

Decent food, and the beer flight they picked was always good. They were generally nice toward my baby and microwaved our baby food as requested promptly.

We sat out on the back patio, which has a great view of Lake Ontario. When we took our seats we had to flag down a waitress, and were not sure if we had to go to the bar to order or not. When we finally made contact with a waitress we waited for approximately 20mins to get drinks. Once... More

First and last time. Great service, but terribly disappointing, and expensive food. The beer they offer is not very enjoyable either. This was a total fail.

Well hidden gem of Toronto! The food is very good, the atmosphere is awesome, and the beer is so fresh, brewed perhaps that day. Is a good place to go for couples or friends, be sure to buy a growler or two when there. Well worth a visit!

We sat at the bar and were served promptly by a nice young man who went off duty. Gal that replaced him was a dirvish, and not as customer service oriented. $16.39 is a lot to pay for 2 pints in a crowded noisy bar. Glad we did not eat here as it might well have been a worse experience.

We enjoyed the beer sampler. You get a choice of 4 beers and you can pick a 6 oz or 8 oz tasting. While all were good, we were able to select the best for a full pint. The food was average. The poutine could have been hotter. The macaroni and cheese wasn't very creamy. The wait staff was wonderful.... More

Visited Mill St. During the Pan Am games. Serving staff were wonderful. Despite being very busy the staff handled the crowd with practised professionalism. Food quality was very good and there is a wide selection.

We spent a nice afternoon in the sun sampling the beers on offer. There is an excellent choice and a seasonal special of which we were given a sample which was excellent. You can buy what looks like a tapas style selection of 4 different ales or share a pitcher. The staff were really friendly and service was excellent. We... More

We weren't sure if the place was understaffed or the poor wait staff were just run off their feet. What I do know is that we were on the patient side as we watched a few tables give up on their initial order and walk out. We had a few beers each but gave up on food as we realised... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
